My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt French Quarter for three nights in early December. We took a cab from the airport to the hotel and were able to either walk or use the trolleys to get everywhere we wanted to go with ease. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We were surprised at the generous sized room....

Found the majority of the front desk staff to be most unhelpful. Upon entering my room discovered room not completely cleaned, hair in the bathroom sink, carpet dirty, bed uncomfortable. When asked housekeeping for more hangers was advised they only give out wire hangers instead of wooden hangers....really

Loved the stay. Surprisingly quiet rooms considering you're on bourbon street. Location rocks! Service is top notch. This is a fantastic hotel in the middle of it all. We also loved the hotel bar, gray drinks and great service.

If you want to be in the middle of bourbon street this is a great hotel. Clean and very modern and everyone is nice but do not go out of the way. Bartenders at the pool were not very friendly at all and the other bartenders were just not th best, always messing up drink orders

Screwed up my reservation, could not provide the room I reserved even though reserved a week in advanced they confirmed. may be Hyatt res system, not the hotel. Requested assistance with transfer from airport, requested through Hyatt concierge web site. MIssing. Arrived, had to wait, no help with luggage and the clear attendant indicate she was, check out only. Waited...

Easy check in, very helpful staff. Courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable! Great spot for walking to shops, restaurants and transportation. Would definitely recommend and visit again when returning to the French Quarter!

The Hyatt Centric French Quarter is a thoroughly modern hotel. I loved the color schemes (gray, white, black) throughout the hotel. The location is ideal, in my opinion, for a first timer to New Orleans. One side (by the Hard Rock) is off Bourbon Street but it's in a slightly less insane area of it. This made it much easier...

Right in the heart of the action the hotel is big, very clean, very model. The room we stayed in was big and opened out into the pool. The staff are all wonderfully friendly and helpful whenever we had questions and would happily stay here again

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
