Easy check in, very helpful staff. Courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable! Great spot for walking to shops, restaurants and transportation. Would definitely recommend and visit again when returning to the French Quarter!

The Hyatt Centric French Quarter is a thoroughly modern hotel. I loved the color schemes (gray, white, black) throughout the hotel. The location is ideal, in my opinion, for a first timer to New Orleans. One side (by the Hard Rock) is off Bourbon Street but it's in a slightly less insane area of it. This made it much easier...

Right in the heart of the action the hotel is big, very clean, very model. The room we stayed in was big and opened out into the pool. The staff are all wonderfully friendly and helpful whenever we had questions and would happily stay here again

This was our second visit to the Hyatt Centric in New Orleans. It is conveneintly located for exploring the area while being easily within walking distance of other downtown destinations. The Hyatt staff are great and very, very knowledgeable. Highly, highly recommended!

Highly recommend this hotel for convenience of being on the trolley lines or close enough to the riverfront to walk if you do not want to take the trolley. It is located on Bourbon Street and within walking distance to many great restaurants. The hotel staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make your stay enjoyable....

When we arrived we were told that they had given away the room we had booked, so they upgraded us. No complaints there! The room was very nice, and the hotel overall was nice and clean. There is a very cute coffee shop in the lobby, which was great first thing in the morning to grab something to go. The...

Lovely modern hotel. Great staff. Large Outside room was pretty noisy in the early morning hours, but that is no doubt the price you pay to be this close to Bourbon Street and to the French Quarter. Close to the trolleys and several nice restaurants. (They could use a few more umbrellas for those of us who arrived unprepared for...

I asked for a quiet room, away from the streets. Rather than be given a room overlooking the interior courtyard, I was given a room on a busy street. Disappointed that Customer Service was not able to arrange a full refund since I had to check out of the hotel early due to my wife becoming ill.

Beautiful hotel in the French Quarter. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were in walking distance of everything we wanted to see during our stay. A streetcar stop is right outside the back door. Would definitely stay there again.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
