We had a great time in NOLA and this hotel was one of many reasons. The lobby is gorgeous and gives that old world romantic French feel and the room was like a modern version of that. The room was comfy and roomy and the...More
This was the worst stay of our honeymoon. Being local, we booked this as our room for the night of our wedding before we headed to the airport the next morning. I included this information in my reservation as we would be arriving late that...More
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and elegant. We were impressed by the cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the hotel. While historic and opulent, the hotel is comfortable and fresh. It provides an upscale bar and restaurant while also providing a late night PB&J bar....More

The hotel is beautiful with lots of chandeliers. It is well staffed (some staff not so friendly but mostly all make you feel very welcomed). The rooms are very comfortable and clean but voices can be heard from the next room. In walking distance from...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

I don't pay much mind to stories of hauntings and spirits. I think if you want a ghostly encounter, you can find one anywhere...especially in areas with so many stories to tell. But I personally think you find as much as you're looking for. There was nothing out of the ordinary in my experience. The hotel was stunning and my stay was wonderful!
