We loved this hotel. It was within easy reach of the French Quarter and being Brits we thought the bathroom was fine, not to small as previously stated. One thing missing though was a kettle or coffee machine. At night we found water and cookies in our room along with a recipe card. We'd definitely re visit.

This was my second trip to Nola, but first time coming down during Mardi Gras. A couple of friends and I booked this hotel months in advance since everything books up fast before Mardi Gras. We picked this hotel due to the rave reviews, price, and close proximity to Bourbon Street. The hotel decor is very old fashioned, but it's...

This place is very grand. The rooms are tired though. The most wonderful thing is seeing everyone in their pjs at 10 pm having cocoa and pb and j with cookies all served in the most beautiful giant silverware. We made great friends each evening, shared our day, caught up with what was going on locally, all in pyjamas! Great...

My cousin and I (both ladies over 40) loved this hotel. We stayed for 8 days and wouldn't change a thing. A very lovely and comfortable old world style permeated the common areas and the rooms. The artwork in the hallways was great. Loved the rooftop pool. Great for viewing sunsets. Walk to a fabulous world-class super market, lots of...

This hotel is a gem. While it seems to stand alone on Poydras Street this hotel is so close to everything. We walked to the Warehouse District and the French Quarter and all the surrounding attractions. The nightly PB&J buffet was an added perk. The staff here are extremely helpful. The pool is much smaller than it looks in the...

Le Pavillon is a beautiful hotel, the lobby over the top and so is the service. We were personally tended to upon our arrival, anytime we departed for a night on the town and we always leaving feeling pampered. We love the quaint late night snack, once meant to greet late and weary travelers. I would recommend this fine hotel...

I am so glad we stayed at Le Pavillon during our time in New Orleans. The hotel is unique and beautiful. Our room was pristine and lovely. All of the staff were great, from the doorman, to reception and housekeeping. In fact, our housekeeper even cleaned the souvenir wine glasses that we received from an event we attended. On our...

Go to any city, anywhere for the same old cookie cutter hotel but when you come to New Orleans you must experience Le Pavillon. Pronounced Le Pav-ee-on for those of us who are out of towners. A beautiful aging Creole Queen set in the business district, she is close to everything and wears her age proudly. This hotel is old...

A friend and I stayed at Le Pavillon for two nights a few days ago. Right from the outset, we knew we were in a quality hotel. The furnishings were sumptuous, but more importantly, the service was impeccable. We were greeted warmly by Nick as we drove up, and Nick's helpfulness and friendly greetings every time we came and went...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
