I have stayed here the last 5 trips to New Orleans, and I Love this location and property. Super close to Frenchman ST with lots of local places to hang out and visit. Great places to eat and art. Close enough to Bourbon and Decatur to have a blast and still be quiet at night.

The hotel is beautiful and has been beautifully converted. We stayed in one of the houses in the back in room 117. It was very spacious, had a separate little room with a sofa bed and a TV that would be great for kids. Our room was right at the back gate just across the street from the parking lot....

After doing research for hotels in the French Quarters area, we decided to choose Lamothe House. The property and description of the House is exactly on how this can be described. The entry has a beautiful vintage feel and look. The room is cozy and spacious with the renovated furniture and comfortable bed. Our Housekeeper provided outstanding service. All the...

We stayed here after a friend recommended it and how could you say no to the mid week special of a third night for free. The room was small but well appointed and the fittings were modern. The air conditioning was spot on given it was sweltering outside. A cute little pool in the courtyard and a great period feel...

Great hotel for history and location. Although be prepared to stay in an old hotel. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the stairs are hard work with bags and a few bloody Marys in your belly. Fun experience though.

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
