Loved it! Gorgeous antique hotel with very cute rooms. It's certainly not a budget option, but if you want an authentic colonial feeling experience during your stay I recommend this. The bar downstairs, Carousel, is awesome. Have fun!!!!

We have stayed here many times since 1982. We like the hotel. It has been remodeled several times. Staff is friendly and helpful, but need to be taught how to close doors without slamming them. They have Toto toilets in the rooms. They are extremely noisy and could damage a young child's hearing. Great location. Walgreens half a block away.

This hotel is very lovely and everyone was so nice. We will definitely be back. The fitness center doesn't have much so we just used it for cardio. The rooftop pool was relaxing and pretty neat. Not too much of a view but we enjoyed it. It was very nice to be out there. Location of the hotel was perfect!!!... More

Beautiful Hotel! This Hotel is old but they keep it in pristine condition. Great Staff! We left early in the morning our Bellman has been with the Hotel for 52 years. That speaks volumes. Beautiful room! I highly recommend this hotel! The Carousel Piano Bar was cool. Get there early to sit on the Carousel!

I live in hotels a large portion of the year and can be a tough customer. Several things about the Monteleone impressed me on my most recent stay: 1. Most staff are obviously well trained. From the restaurant servers to the manager, staff were consistently good. 2. We got a great room. This is as important as others write in... More

"Hotel Monteleone" has the WOW factor. This hotel is beautiful. You feel like you are in the past from the time you walk through the doors. Rich in history! The food was great! Our waitress was a native to area and enjoyed her Louisianna accent. Our room was a bit small but very cozy and comfortable. This is one of... More

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times and it never disappoints. This time we were celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary and we got an upgraded room with a large bathroom with tub and walk-in shower. The room was very quiet and we loved it. The nicest surprise was our waiter, Leon, at breakfast our first morning there. He found... More

Have wanted to stay here and with the Papa Noel rates it was a great time to do so. Loved the hotel, staff is wonderful. Helpful and very friendly!! the Carousel bar is nice, even though it is very hard to get an actual seat at that bar. Plenty of other seating so no worries! the entertainment was great too...

Old, unique and beautiful. It's perfect location for everything and the history makes it special. It is beautifully decorated for the holidays. River views from the room were great too. The spinning carousel bar is really neat

The quality of your stay will ultimately depend of the room that you are assigned. We tried three rooms before we were satisfied. This is an older hotel that was added on to several times throughout its history which accounts for some of the discrepancies amongst the room types. There were a few issues that needed attention. The hotel staff... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
