This is a very nice hotel with a great location in the French Quarter, just off Bourbon Street. The morning breakfast, and especially the staff there, are wonderful. The courtyard is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and very nice. The concierge is VERY helpful, as were the staff in general.

The hotel staff was very friendly, especially the door man. Had no problems with the valet parking. Hotel offers a daily breakfast which was good. The room was very clean however they are VERY small and not worth the price.

A much needed retreat for 2 couples was greatly enhanced by perfect location, wonderful value and very attentive sraff of the Mazarin. We will try to stay here again soon and make sure we tell all our friends traveling to NOLA.

Nice Hotel. Good location. Staff was friendly. Room was large and nicely decorated. The Bed was very hard and the pillows were solid foam rubber. Hot and uncomfortable. The air conditioning did not keep the room cool, so it was hard to sleep.

First time staying in the French Quarter. Chose the Hotel Mazarin after reviewing Trip Advisor and hotel website. The Hotel Mazarin exceeded our expectations in every way. First, the location was great. We were able to take in the jazz clubs, restaurants and early nightlife which Bourbon Street offers. We explored Frenchman Street and the Garden District easily by walking... More

We went the Sunday following Thanksgiving. Had we arrived on Friday or Saturday the area would have been crazy - right after the Bayou Classic between a couple of large colleges. As it was all had left for home and the area was quiet. We had a courtyard room on the top floor (5th). It was quiet for all but... More

I give this a five because of the staff, breakfast, and location. The interior room was small, but clean but we asked to be moved to a larger room and the staff tried their best, and was able to accommodate us. I loved the court yard for late night drinks, or breakfast. You did not feel you were in the... More

Good location, beautiful courtyard, clean room, but room needs more natural light and to be ventilated properly. Breakfast very good with a large variety of choices. Croissants could be served fresher.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
