The staff was great, the breakfast was terrific, the room was renovated in a great way, but the location of the hotel was the best! It was right in the heart of the French Quarter yet it did not seem too noisy. We stayed in a king room with a balcony and ended up sitting out the balcony often. Did...

Great place, comfortable, spacious room, great buffet breakfast included. Would definitely stay here again! Love that the 21st Amendment Bar is attached! And Patrick's Wine bar was good for a night cap (but could use a little music or something)

The location was perfect right off Bourbon st. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Janet the concierge was so helpful. The bar inside the hotel was also a great place for a cocktail. Jessie the bartender was super and the girls who also worked there. The rooms were always clean and the breakfast which was included was delicious.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, charming atmosphere, and great location. Close to Bourbon street but far enough to not be too loud. Rooms are clean and comfortable with everything in working order. Very nice and comfortable.

Great accommodations. Food for breakfast was top notch and rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Went during Mardi Gras so things were noisy but that wasn't their fault. Very close to everything. I would stay here again.

The TV cable or satellite had intermittent problems. The WIFI was a little slow the first day and horrible the second. The room was nice, the staff was terrific, the location is ideal, and they offer an excellent free breakfast. I will go back if/when I don't need good WIFI.

Great hotel right down the street from Bourbon Street. Clean and they have a good staff who are very friendly always willing to stop and help when asked questions. We enjoyed the buffet breakfasts which are served next to the beautiful courtyard.

The small hotel on Bienville, between Royal and Bourbon Streets, provided a delightful experience for us during our three-night stay, prior to boarding a cruise ship. The room was clean, the morning breakfast was delicious, staff was cordial, helpful and engaging. We were within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and the riverfront. The courtyard was lovely and inviting. The...

Positives-Location, Free and good breakfast, free water bottles and fridge, newspapers, lots of cable tv channels, friendly staff. Beautiful courtyard and fountain. Negatives-Visited in February and rooms were damp, beds were creaky, lobby could use some maintenance.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great location. Enjoyed the secret path to the 21st amendment. Surprisingly quiet given the location. Internet was fast and easy to access. Excellent breakfast. Would stay again.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

“We had a room with a small balcony, on which we and our friends played a game of cards before nightfall. We were able to watch a pre-Mardi Gras parade from the balcony. While the accommodations were pleasant, there was limited closet space and not much space for toiletries in the bathroom.”
