After looking at about 10 hotels in the area we decided on this one. First off I just want to say that everyone was very friendly here. However, our room was nothing special. Furniture was chipped, paint splatters on the wood floors, bathroom floor was dirty upon arrival and the hallway smelled musty. We had a room overlooking the little...

Located right between the French Quarter and downtown-- easy walk to either. Room was clean and showed great historic charm while offering all needed amenities. The staff (check-in, bell hop, room service, check-out) were some of the most helpful and welcoming we've ever experienced! The complimentary room service breakfast (croissants and coffee/tea/juice), served elegantly, was a nice touch. Thanks for...

The rooms were stunning, generously sized and extremely clean. The bed was a king, comfortable and the room could have easily fitted a third person (if possible). I enjoyed the breakfast which included only fresh croissants, jam and a small selection of beverages. The customer service was immaculate from start to finish. Room service was a restaurant next door. The food...

Dear Lori B, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review! We are incredibly happy to read that you enjoyed the rooms, breakfast, room service and staff customer service! In regards to the bin pick up, we have been trying to get the city to change the time to no avail. Our next step is to...

The hotel was under major construction - there is no front desk/lobby area. This was not apparent when booking the room. The front door was closed and there were work crews in the makeshift lobby area during our entire stay. The "free breakfast" is a single piece of bread and a small glass of orange juice. There is no free...

Dear E G, I am terribly sorry to read about the service that you experienced in May of 2016. We are no longer under any construction and I can assure you that this is not typical service for our hotel- especially now. I apologize that you were misinformed about our cruise parking rate as that does need to be booked...

Our recent trip to New Orleans was to celebrate our anniversary. I booked according to the information on their website, king bed with balcony. We checked in (very efficient and friendly) but our room turned out to have 2 double beds and no room to move as the beds took up the whole tiny room. We had booked 4 nights...

Comfortable bed, nice linens. In room breakfast a treat. Older hotel with the usual plumbing problems. Clean guest rooms and attractive public rooms. Friendly staff. Convenient location to the quarter and museums.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights for our first trip to NOLA. Beautiful hotel, very clean. The Bellman was so nice, and made us feel welcome every time we returned to the hotel. The concierge desk was always very willing to give us suggestions when we asked about restaurants and how to get around. Our room was...

nice hotel, very quite, no noises from the street or pubs. I had an extremely small room, a sort of closet from broom and dusbin. but other big rooms are available. I suggest to check the room before accepting it. The continental breakfast choice is very poor, only croassant, tea or cofee are served.

Great location. Easy walk to French Quarter. Nice restaurants nearby the hotel as well. Price for valet parking is $40/night. Be prepared. Front desk staffing sometimes sparse. Bell man was fabulous and great source of information.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

“We were in 313, and the floor had a noticeable pitch. But since it is New Orleans, and the city has issues with sinking, we weren't concerned. The decor was lovely and I recommend it. ”
