Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Absolutely hands down the worst staff on the planet. RUDE doesn’t even come close. I’m stuck in this overpriced sh#$ hole for another 3 days. The people at the cafe areas are insane, mentally unstable staff. Run DO NOT STAY HERE

This trip would not have been possible without the extraordinary assistance we received from Danielle. We booked a room online for New Years Eve. I called the hotel to see if we would be able to see the fireworks. Danielle said we were in a room with a city view and twin queen

Non smoking room smelled like smoke and digital key would only work if I rebooted phone before every entry. Staff was nice and the location was perfect being close to French quarters but far enough from bourbon st.

Review collected in partnership with Hilton Hotels & Resorts
Huge hotel. Tons of meeting space and banquet rooms. The sleeping rooms were comfortable. Older than I expected, but clean. The service was very good. The food in the banquets was fine - typical banquet food. Close to things to do, but not right in the heart of the noise

The room is clean and ok. People here have no idea about service. It took four long calls to get a hold of someone at the front desk and then I was told were busy. No room service at night and the restaurant opens at 630 am. Then you stand in a long line. Working successful

We really liked the location of the Hilton on Riverside. Really beautiful views of the Mississippi. An outlet mall attached to it. A short walk to the Quarter. Across the street from Harrahs. Far enough away from the Quarter to be quieter, but still close enough for some great walking. I also liked that I got to explore another part of NOLA - the warehouse district is right around the corner. Really neat. The St. Charles Hilton is nice, both need an update. St. Charles is in the CBD (central business district) still close to the quarter and the convention center. It's also right on the Green Streetcar line. the Riverside has the streetcar right outside their door. Hope this helps.

We arrived the same way. We arrived and called Uber. They were there in 5 minutes and it was probably a 15 minute ride to the hotel. It was around $10.
