The hotel is now overpriced to keep the riffraff out. $110.00 for a basic room. $15.00 for a mediocre hamburger. $13.00 for Arroz con Pollo (without any chicken). Staff seems rather rude. It seems the Owners have discovered the only competition in the area are other hotels where you wouldn't leave your dog for the night, and a complete lack... More

The grounds are absolutely stunning, the pond with handmade waterfall is beautiful to look at and lulls you to sleep. The pool area is tranquil and relaxing while you listen to and view infinite bird species through the floor to ceiling windows. It's a gorgeous hotel.

There are few places not "hot" in Panama. This hotel is located in the middle of a cloud forest so it is cold and never hot around it. I loved the rooms, the gardens, the service, the weather and specially the forest around it. Excellent! I can't wait to go back.

This hotel was obviously once very nice, but it has definitely not kept up with the times. With no air conditioning, no fans available, and no screens on the windows, expect an uncomfortable night with bugs all over your room and yourself (I am currently fighting to keep them off of my screen, and myself, to type this review). I... More

I ranked this hotel very good in comparison to others in the country. Its about the nicest in the area. We found it to be cleaner and better maintained than others with a much better price. It is an older hotel and it looks as if it was a showplace in its heyday. The bathrooms are small but not tiny.... More

An older hotel - still uses real keys! but what a location tucked into a deep valley with lots of water. The front side is a water park popular with people coming up from sweltering lowlands. We found Torrent Tyranulet a bird that specializes in getting insects under waterfalls. The grounds have many other interesting birds and there are nearby... More

This hotel clearly 'has been' a great place. Now it is only the shadow of its past. A little bit 'run down', very slow service, dirty whisky glases, very average food. Rooms are OK. This hotel needs a new management. With a little bit of efforts it could be a phantastic place. It is a pity.

Hotel Bambito is a very popular and well known place. We visited the grounds on the front of the hotel last January and decided that we would like to stay here some time. They charge a small admission to the grounds and there are many families stopping for a few hours. Cars are parked on both shoulders since parking on... More

“Although our room faced the highway, the hotel is set back from the road enough that there is minimal road noise. Another feature that they have is the tiered ponds in front of the hotel, so you go to sleep to the sound of the water running from the top tier down through the other ponds instead of hearing road noise.”
