The hotel was perfectly adequate although the annexe is dated and a little tired. However, our bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable! Breakfast was excellent. Probably the best we have experienced at similar sized hotels in Austria and elsewhere in the European ski regions. The sauna area is very smart although could do with...

I've just got back from this hotel having spent a week at the location with 7 friends skiing in the nearby mountains. The hotel itself is on the edge of town and is approximately a 10-15 minute walk away from the ski lift. A petrol station is directly in front of the hotel, which was initially off putting, but actually...

I went sking in Mayrhofen and the Zillertal valley in January 2017, and wanted to be economical, but to stay in a hotel which was comfortable and convenient for the ski bus. Well, the staff and the owner are lovely people who are very helpful and nice to all their guests, provide a breakdast which has everything you could want...bacon,...

After spending many winter breaks in Mayrhofen we decided to change our usual hotel choice to something a bit cheaper and quieter than the main resort area. What a charming surprise the Obermair turned out to be. We checked in on new years eve 2016 to our top floor room which over looked the main car park at the front...

We have just returned from a wonderful two week break in Mayerhofen. The weather added to the holiday (mid to high 30's throughout). Only booked 2-3 weeks before we found a room and Breakfast in the Annex of the Obermair - as this was an excellent deal we took the opportunity to add in "half/board" supplement in a local hotel...

The hotel is in two halves, the main hotel and the annex. I did not see a room in the main hotel as my family stayed in two rooms in the annex. Our room in the annex was definitely value for money and it was clean if a little dated. There were some improvements that could be made, but it...

We booked this hotel through Crystal/Thomsons, in the hope of a similar comfortable stay as we had enjoyed previously in other resorts in Austria. Mayrhofen itself is a beautiful place with much to see and enjoy. Unfortunately our experience of staying in the Obermair was not! While we were expecting a more simple and slightly worn kind of accommodation, we...

The hotel is situated on a main road into the town, but just a little bit away from the centre, There is a filling station right outside, but I didn't find this to be a problem. I spent a week here in an Annexe room (No.4). Having read the reviews of the Annexe I was prepared for a less than...

We booked 2 rooms in this hotel for a family holiday. The rooms are in a state of disrepair with broken tiles, doors that have been burst in and poorly repaired. We had expected out of date fixtures but were very disappointed in the rooms in the annexe. We paid a supplement for a balcony but Room 1 has only...
