Good value hotel in quiet location , large garden , large indoor pool . Rooms traditional and very clean . Food ; limited choice but excellent quality (good chef) and generous quantity , particularly at the BBQ ! Dining room staff probably the most efficient we've ever encountered . Hotel does not have a bar , but extra drinks could... More

The hanging flowers on the balconies were exceptional even in an area of marvellous similar art.And the L-shaped garden was rather splendid. This hotel was the first I have ever been in that had no filed/laminated information in the room:no hotel;no resort;no tv,even.Another first was the provision of a cheap plastic bucket in the bathroom that was meant to double... My wife and I have just returned from a 1week holiday between the 4/6 and the 11/6. we stayed at the Hotel Strolz. Whilst it is in a secluded spot and it does have a lovely garden. We found that the excellent reputation for cuisine was a little overstated. The hot and cold buffet breakfast consisted a hot boiled eggs.... More

Stayed in March 15 for skiiing. Food was plentiful and service was prompt and very enthusiastic. We spent quite a lot on drinks over the course of the week for which the owner was more than happy - slightly odd parting gift to the men in the party of hip flasks full of schnapps, odd in that the women of... We made the mistake of booking a family skiing holiday during snowbombing week, I'm sure Mayrhofen is a lovely resort but we didn't see the best of it unfortunately. The Hotel Strolz however was a great place to stay, a typical Austrian pension in a beautiful setting away from the bustle of the town. The family running it and their... More

Seven of us stayed here for a week in March for a skiing holiday. The staff are lovely and they owner is very colourful in his dealings with guests. To the point, I would say. The rooms were adequate and clean and the whole hotel was spotless. The food was typical Austrian fare and plenty of it. We had a... More

We have just come back from a lovely week skiing in Mayrhofen. Hotel Strolz is at the bottom, quieter end of town which suited us as a family very well. The ski bus stop is just a short walk away, no more than 50-100m. We stayed in the annexe which was about 30 m down from the hotel, this meant... More

Just returned from a fabulous weeks skiing in Mayrhofen. My review of the Strolz is as follows : Good Points - only 50-100m to ski bus stop so not long trudging in those ski boots! - on a non ski day only 10 mins walk to centre of town - we were lucky & had a 3rd floor corner room... More

I'd like to break this review into 2. The first being the resort and then finally the hotel. The resort and ski area of Mayrhofen is excellent, A very good retail area and plenty of bars and cafe's. My favourite was the New York nearer the bottom of the street. The ski area is vast, however it was very busy... More
