We had a great time returning to Skiing for the first time in 19 years. The hotel was a joy. Nothing was too much effort for the staff who were supremely helpful and efficient. We arrived late due to our transfer however the hotel still served us food beyond their service time. The rooms were very comfortable and serviced beautifully daily.

The food for breakfast lunch and dinner was varied but always great quality and the bar offering was lovely.

The spa facilities were excellent. A lovely pool and sauna facilities amongst them.

A special mention should go to the staff. Michael (I think) the receptionist drove one of our party to the local Doctors when he injured his leg. Really above the call of duty.

The bar staff and restaurant staff were attentive, efficient and friendly, making us feel really valued. Talking to other visitors it seems a lot of people visit again and again and I may well do the same.

Thank you all so much.

This hotel is a must for the discerning traveller. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Michael in the bar is exceptional. The facilities are first rate. Indoor and outdoor pool with 32 jacuzzis outside. These are a great experience especially when it is snowing. The hotel has many saunas. The hotel is spotless. The food is the best I have experienced. The hotel is all inclusive and the drinks really are premium brands. The bedroom I had was an upgraded junior suite with lounge, mood lighting, jacuzzi bath and a shower cubicle. I travelled with Crystal Ski but keep a close eye on their prices as they fluctuate greatly and so do their definition of rooms compared to the hotel’s definition. Before booking e- mail the hotel to make sure you know what you are actually booking e.g. superior is actually their standard room. There is nothing not to like about this hotel.

We returned from this beautiful hotel Alpin Resort Sport and spa in Saalbach in the end of July 2022 after we spent two fantastic weeks. I wish to be more or forever.
Everything was perfect. The room was superb in the opposite building but with access from underground very clever. Modern spacious room, in pristine condition, very clean, special we love the bathroom very big with window at bathroom as well.
Fascinating mountains view, with large and long balcony.
We loved the room and spend some time late in the afternoon.
The breakfast was excellent with everything possible there, the best bread ( rye, oats and so on ), very healthy lots of options, We loved the fresh juice from apples and carrots and from oranges plus lots of other fresh healthy juices, healthy herbs tea, absolutely wonderful. Everything was cooked with perfection, we had lovely buffet lunches and 6 courses dinner, excellent chef, Maximum note to food, presentation and taste, it was absolutely so delicious. We have never had such options for 'thousand' of bottles of wine. We loved everything.
We could see the owner running miles away from early morning until the end of the day working so hard tireless to make sure everybody has got the highest standard of everything and such attention to each detail and facilitating best holiday experience for everybody. I dropped a knife when I was going to slice the bread, and it was there immediately picked the knife and took it away.
The spa was simply the best. Many thanks to Mike for lovely sauna infusions and for lovely peeling salt solution. We loved the Jacuzzi. Lots of healthy choices at the spa, lovely juices, lemon, lime, oranges water and lovely nuts and seeds almonds, cashews, hazelnuts and so on. The ice cream in the restaurant was always very good. The wheat bear excellent. The cheese was brilliant.
We used a lot the Joker card, we love it and also we loved very much Hintergemm as well. We had a little experience with the bicycles as well.
We had lot to do, we needed the day to have 40 hours, 24 hours was not enough.
Perfect location, close to the bus stop, to the cable lift.
We loved the church in Saalbach, we went Sunday absolutely fantastic.
We loved our stay at this hotel, and we have lovely for ever good memories.
We would like to come in the winter as well.
Thank you so much to make us such a stunning holiday.
We love you.
From Alexandrina and Silviu. Romania.

Due to our transfer being delayed, we arrived not only several hours after we thought we would but also after dinner was over. We stood in the queue to check in only for the staff to announce that we should put our suitcases to the side and come through for dinner. We expected a small, cold selection but recieved all the courses and drinks, staff worked well beyond the times they usually would but were so welcoming and friendly.

Our room was in the building across the road, less than 20m. It was beautiful, spacious, comfortable bed and pillows. Good size TV, mini bar well stocked with free drinks. Bathroom had bath and shower in one room with separate toilet. Plenty of cupboard space too.

All meals were excellent: timings, food on offer, drinks and staff. Similarly in the bar, which we used most days - cocktails of the day were always good when returning from the slopes.

The spa and pools were equally high standard, lots of options. Indoor and outdoor pool, outdoor sauna and Jacuzzi (clothed), plus a nude Jacuzzi and sauna area. This was very welcome after each days skiing to relax.

Would return right now, already looking to book our next ski holiday next year.

We travelled with a family of 5 adults and 2 children for a new year ski break.
I can't rate this hotel highly enough and it appears most guests felt the same.
We had 3 rooms on the 3/4 floors each of different styles/costs but each one was spotless with comfy beds and plenty of pillows to suit your tastes. Amply storage space with a free safe. Always hot water on tap.
What makes this hotel 4 * is the customer service from all the staff nothing is too much bother for them.
Regarding food and drink I never experienced better, quality and choice is first class.
Loved the pools and the spa area, the non textile area requiring a bit of courage to start with but well worth it to experience the various sauna / steam room etc.
Although the ski/boot room has a place for each room number some guests appeared to ignore this. Stair exit from this area could be a bit awkward with boots and skis.
A bit of a uphill walk to the lifts but the hotel provides transport in the morning.
With good snow conditions you should be able to ski back to approximately 20 metres from the hotel.
I would certainly use this hotel again.

Our experience was overall very good. We were aware that we would be in the attic room (even though not really clear when you book through Crystal) and we were worried they would be cramped. Although a little scuffed in places, the room was a good size. There was a shower over the bath and again we initially viewed it with skepticism but it had really good pressure (which is definitely the most important aspect in our view). So although we weren't in one of the more luxurious rooms, we were very content with our alpine/attic room. We were also initially worried about the all-inclusive aspect, whether this would just attract a rowdy bunch and whether food quality would be impacted. We were really pleasantly surprised. There was a good variety of meals across the week and they were tasty. A review we had read prior to arriving suggested the all-inclusive nature brought out the worst in people taking advantage of free flowing alcohol but we didn't see any of that and it really seemed that everyone was quietly having a good time. The availability of hot snacks when you got in from skiing was a real plus. Breakfast had lots of choice of hot and cold foods. My only criticism would be that breakfast started at 7.30 which seems standard in the area but I think 7 would be preferable for those who want to get out and ski early as it is a lovely breakfast that should be enjoyed with plenty of time.

I have just returned from my second visit along with my three adult sons. I have stayed in many ski hotels over the years and this one is the best. Amazing service from the moment that you arrive to the moment that you leave.
The staff are friendly and helpful and many thanks to Michel and Karl behind the bar who work extremely hard to make sure that everyone gets their drinks on time
The rooms are immaculate and well fitted - the beds really comfy and I liked the fact that you were given a choice of three types.
Breakfast and lunch buffet food was excellent, as was the quality of the a la carte food in the evening.
The hotel even has an electric vehicle to take you to the ski lifts in a morning , even though these are really close on foot.
Overall, if you are going to Saalbach and can afford it, stay at this hotel, you won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful hotel and would highly recommend. Hats off to the bar staff who was friendly, efficient and always greeted us with a smile each day. Michael and the rest of the bar team worked so hard remembering what everyone drank and serving us quickly and efficiently. The food in the restaurant was amazing with great variety each day. Charlie was lovely and served us a great selection of wine. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed for our weeks stay. Only down side of the hotel is it’s location, one lift was close by, the two others was a 5 minute walk uphill.

Last visited this hotel in 2014 and enjoyed our stay so much that I took my 1st opportunity to return
Traveled with Crystal from Bristol we live in Poole but Bournemouth international doesn’t offer flights to Austria
We had a superior room on the 4th floor of the main building It was lovely and had magnificent views of the mountains
All the hotel staff were excellent and so helpful The food was brilliant and also the complimentary drinks .
The wellness facility was as usual top draw

This is a little constructive criticism-
The bar needs a noise reduction evaluation It needs soft wall coverings and sound adsorbent ceilings as just a few noisy guests can sound like a partying army.
The single lift needs key card access to prevent it being used as a play thing by children.
There is a need to replace the spiral staircase that serves the boot room with a lift or escalator to the outside.
I have tried hard to find more faults but I can’t
The hotel is super and we will be booking again .

Response from Jakob Eder, Geschäftsführer at Alpinresort ValSaa Sport & Spa
Responded 19 Jun 2022
Thank you very much for your constructive comment. We are pleased that you were very satisfied with the room, staff, food and drinks. Now to the suggestions for improvement: This spring we already installed a new adsorbent ceiling in the bar area. We hope that this will be enough to reduce the noise sufficiently. We are also planning (autumn or next spring) to build a second lift to reduce waiting times at the lift. What else will be new: The lounge area and the buffet will be redesigned and expanded. Kind regards, Jakob Eder
