Visited the hotel with girlfriends on a long weekend ski break.
The hotel is wonderfully situated with lake views at every window. We had a twin room, with a separate shower and toilet. There was a lot of additional furniture in the room, including a desk and chair. We did a bit of furniture removal with the help of housekeeping and made the room perfect for two of us sharing. Towels and sheets where changed on the 3rd day.
Buffet breakfast with hot and cold options set us up for the days skiing. A free shuttle to the closest lift (it’s not far but all uphill so don’t try it in ski boots) went every 30 mins in the morning.
Dinner options are chosen in the morning, with 3 courses and a salad bar. On Sunday night there was a buffet style dinner, with lots of variety.
They don’t offer a post ski hot drink or cake as some hotels do. There was soup on offer. However there is a well stocked tea/coffee station in the room and lots of places to buy snacks from as you come back to the hotel.
The spa and fitness area was in the basement but again overlooking the glorious lake vista. Swimsuits are optional in the steam/sauna so may not suit us reserved Brits!
The ski area is fantastic and we where blessed with fresh snow each day and all 3 ski areas can be accessed from the shuttle bus drop off.

We were actually surprised with the nice location on the lake and views from this hotel. We had a panorama suite that was quite spacious, comfortable and had a nice private deck and balcony. For some reason we both were allergic to something in the room...either all the wood or a cleaning product they used.As soon as we left the room we felt fine. All the staff were friendly enough and the breakfast choices were basic at best. The walk back and forth from town along the lake was truly enjoyable with the magical scenery For the price and location I would recommend a visit

Stayed here for a 4 night skiing break with friends.

The hotel is in a great location right by the lake, a few minutes walk to the town.

The room was fine, twin beds (2 blokes sharing!). Separate toilet and shower. It was comfortable and practical.

Food was good, especially the 4 course dinner, which was really good to be fair.

The staff were friendly, especially the lovely lady on reception in the evening who gave us loads of really great advice, booked our free hotel transfer to the centre of town each day, and even sorted us a packed lunch for our return journey.

Skiing was great, you can use all three resorts. Zell am See was good, Saalbach was huge, we found the snow best at Kaprun though.

Would recommend the hotel and the resort

Friends treated us to a two-night stay at the Seevilla Freiberg back in 2018. Upfront, costumer service has been brilliant, extremely friendly and accommodating before and during our stay. We were finally able to stay in the hotel in 2022 (covid, lockdown). The hotel was always very quick in responding and answering any queries and booked us in as soon as the possibility arose to stay with them. Thank you!
We felt very welcomed and extremely well looked after. Our one-year old son will hopefully remember how lovely all the staff were during our stay, from receptionists to manager, from waiters and waitresses. We loved the food, the fish was amazing every time, and you can’t beat the view and location of this place. We also had amazing massages on-site and the spa is worth a visit.

Thank you so much for an amazing stay and experience.

David, Charlotte and Anton

We spent ten amazing days in Zell am See and it,s sourrandings living in Seevilla Freiberg hotel on the HB Ibasis.Hotel has excellent position on the lake.We were very satisfied with the quality of food, staff was proffesional and friendly,The superior room was spacious enough and daily well maintained,The view on the lake and mouintains was superb, especially if you have room on the upper floor. With Zell am See card, which you get for free at the reception, you have free acsess to cable cars, boat trips, zoo park etc. and many discounts.
The only complain is the lack of parking places in front of he hotel. It is a pity, that hotel owners didn,t solve this problem , which is lasting years, as the managin director told us. Nervous searching of parking place really spoils othervise wonderfull expirience to spend days in this hotel.

We stayed here for a weeks skiing holiday and cannot fault the hotel. Food was lovely with a good choice for breakfast and dinner, all the staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant has amazing views of the lake and mountains. The bedroom was clean and modern and also had the same stunning views. Location is just on the edge of the town but is only 5 minutes walk from the centre and 10 minutes walk to the City Express. The hotel runs a shuttle bus for skiers to and from the City Express in the morning and afternoon. The railway runs by the hotel but we barely heard any noise from passing trains.

I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and I never experienced such an unprofessional treatment of their rude staff. While checking out an old lady staff who attended my check out process claimed that i have to pay for 2 Coke bottles which we didn't consumed at all during our stay. When I did not accepted it the staff started to encounter an argument in a rude behaviour. So my advise to the customers coming to this hotel to be careful and be prepared for such arguments because it seems this hotel doesn't have a professional invoicing system. I paid for my hotel room charges an amount exceeding 1500 Euros so will i gona refuse to pay an extra small amount (penuts) for the 2 cokes if i really consumed them?!! . I mentioned this point in the booking.com review and the staff of this hotel instead of apologizing reacted negatively with a replying comment accusing me that i have consumed a Red Wine in addition to the 2 Cokes while having a dinner, whereas i never consumed such things in this hotel neither i drank a Wine in my life, and didn't had a dinner there during my stay.

Visited for a long weekend of skiing with family. Offered an upgraded room on arrival with great facilities and lovely view of the Lake. Monica and the staff were very attentive and welcoming - even facilitating birthday drinks (with no prompt). Would 100% recommend for families.

The view from our room was fantastic. The bed was extremely comfortable and when we found the coffee maker was broken it was quickly replaced. The food was excellent and we liked being able to choose on the previous evening to our meal. That must cut out a lot of waste. It was very easy to get around Zell am See on my mobility scooter, especially along the esplanade. Trip round on the lake was very good as well. Went up to the Krimml falls which were stunning. Too cloudy for a cable car trip on the day we had it planned! Renata at the hotel was extremely helpful. We hope to go back.

Fantastic hotel, friendly and attentive staff, beautiful views of the lake and mountains, food was fantastic also. Short walk into the village. Complimentary shuttle bus to the town centre and city express ski link was also very helpful.
Monica the manager was always on hand to offer any assistance and checking everyone had what they needed. Well recommended
