One of the most basic places you could ever stay . Like being back at the local high school. Food is as basic as it gets ,dated decor not the best postion due to a steep hill outside spend the extra and dont stay here.not even a safe in the room as an example

We stayed here with a Shearings party and really enjoyed our holiday. A typical Austrian village - and a typical chalet-style accommodation. Roland and his staff were very good hosts and our room was clean and the beds comfortable. We had a balcony, which overlooked the mountains at the rear of the hotel and this was where we could get...

As a family (there were five of us) we travelled with Shearings for a 10 day Peaks and Lakes holiday. This was the first time that we had stayed in a Pension, so did not know what to expect, but what we found was very good. We were given three of four rooms in the Annexe (Roland's private home) and...

Very welcoming and good overall without being spectacular. Arrival was rather chaotic but understandable with almost 50 guests arriving at the same time and trying to get into their rooms and then into the dining room for dinner. A typical selection for 'Continental breakfast' and good, substantial evening meals. The bedroom was fully equipped and spacious - the dining room...

we have just returned from this hotel after a very nice stay over Christmas. it is the second time we have been here. we were in the annex across from the main hotel and our room was too hot at one stage had to turn down the heating. Breakfast is not very exciting but enough for me. All the other...

Roland and the staff are very welcoming at this pension in the small Neiderau village. Food served in the Dining area is good and fulsome, though lacking in any Austrian specialities. Very limited Breakfast Buffet. If you wanted drinks from the bar you needed to make your own journey rather than be waited on at the table. Our room was...

Stayed at Pension Diane with Shearings, no soap, hair dryer or TV, still that didn't really matter. Room clean but very cold eventually we had a bit of heating. Food not very good, continental breakfast, same rolls, cheese & ham, fruit was tinned fruit cocktail every day. Dinners very disappointing, salad to start OK, soup next very tasty, choice of...

We stayed here with Shearings on the Peaks and Lakes holiday. The village is quiet as it is mainly a winter destination. The only café was in the large supermarket and the bars were in the other hotels. Take the cable car up to the top of the mountain and watch the para-gliders taking off. There are many walks to...

Christmas with Shearings at the Hotel Diane was great fun and such lovely hard working people owning and running the Pension. Sarah could not be more helpful and Roland was a delight and very hospitable. We felt completely at home. Things could be that bit better. The front of the property had not been cleared of snow, and the first...

“The front rooms of the annexe were large, with beds for children as well, with excellent views of the village and surrounding mountains.”

“Our room was on the end of the hotel which meant that we had no-one next door as when we left the room we were straight into the corridor. This meant our room was quiet. It was a good size and being on the end meant that the balcony was private. Your will know what I mean when you see the front of the hotel. The rooms in the middle share the long balcony.”
