#1 of 10 hotels in Niederau
Travellers' Choice
GreenLeaders Silver level
The Staffler sits in the centre of Niederau, in the heart of the Kitzbuhler Alps, close to ski schools, hire shops, the main lifts and nursery slopes. The hotel is the resorts oldest, most well known and offers guests a relaxed and informal atmosphere. En suite bedrooms are simply furnished. A number can accommodate additional beds, some have balconies and all have mountain views. There are also a limited number of interconnecting family rooms. On the ground floor is a comfortable reception area, O'Malley's bar - always popular and busy, a fantastic sunny terrace and a bright and airy dining room. Streamed sport is available in O'Malley's and complimentary high speed wifi is also available throughout the hotel. A complimentary buffet breakfast and three course dinner are served each day. The Staffler is uniquely not Saturday to Saturday specific - guests can arrive and depart at anytime. The hotel is multi-award winning including it's ranking on TripAdvisor, the recipient of their 'Certificate of Excellence' for the past eight years, the only hotel in the Wildschonau to have their coveted 'Hall of Fame' award and a unique recipient of their silver 'Green Leaders' ECO award. Last season the Staffler received their 'Travellers Choice' award - voted by TripAdvisor reviewers, rating the hotel one of the top 25 hotels in the whole of Austria for families and service (number 14 in fact). The hotel is pet friendly - dogs especially. Late flights on the last day of many a personal holiday have always frustrated so we will always endeavour to make at least one room available for showers and changing for guests on afternoon or evening departures from the hotel - and at no additional cost. All guest bookings are made directly with ourselves or with a small number of Online Travel Agents. We do not look after any specific Tour Operator clients. If you are looking for a luxury hotel with lots of amenities then the Staffler is probably not for you but if your accommodation choice is about outstanding service, complimentary Ski Guiding subject to conditions and lots more besides then the Staffler will satisfy - and how!

Hotel's Favourite
As an avid traveler for both work and personal exploration, I can say this fabulous hotel is a unique must stay in the world. From pre-booking to departure, the personal service and caring of the owners and staff is incomparable. The experience is much like a well run classroom; there are differentiated guided ski groups and guides available per ability level, routines (optional but lovely) such as group dinner and breakfast that open and close the day, and interests provided for every type from support in visiting surrounding cities, renting skiis or booking lessons, to the calm Irish pub and lively cave night club below. Whether solo, with family or friends, all of your time here feels like a genuine holiday. Thank you again Yana and Nick and entire staff.

We've visited the Staffler numerous times and have missed Yana, Nick and the team hugely during COVID. It's such a fabulous hotel... They somehow manage to create a wonderful friendly atmosphere whether you're a family staying with children or a group of adults out for an annual ski trip... it's a rare and special skill. The hotel ski guiding is brilliant, helping you navigate numerous resorts with zero stress and encouraging you to cover lots of slopes that perhaps you would have missed. And once you've returned from a the slopes, the experience gets better... Fantastic food in the restaurant and a great bar to relax and chill out in. We love the Staffler, we've been many times before and we are booked for Christmas already... a wonderful and special place.

We are ‘love you long time’ Staffler regulars. We look forward to our family half terms all year round & book two years in advance to ensure we get in!! The magic is in the great vibe of the place; it’s woven into all aspects of the hotel & it’s service. Skiing with a young family (we have 3 children!) is not an easy option but the Staffler has catered wonderfully for us & brood over the last 5 years. We’re booked in for two hols next season & can’t wait!! Please, please keep doing what you do!!!! X

Thanks for such a lovely 'mid summer' review - reminiscing about past and thankfully future Staffler holidays! We love families (as well as couples, solos and groups!). We've enjoyed the Etches for many a year - watching the kids grow and mature. Always great fun and breakfast and dinner and always nice to see mum and dad grabbing a quick 20 minutes of freedom at the bar some evenings. Thanks for your positive comments and your continued support of all things Staffler. Looking forward to seeing you again this winter.
