This is a good, (relatively) budget option in a great ski area. Obergürgl (and connected Hochgürgl) have the key advantage of snow, even when - like this year - other places don't. For this you pay a premium. But Granat Schlössl is a good find. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast is great and the staff friendly. Even Josef in...

The Granatschlössl is a charming little hotel in the traditional style in a good location opposite the ski-hire and fairly near to the Festkogelbahn and in the centre of Obergurgl. The rooms are comfy, clean and spacious (apart from the oddly squeezed-in toilet in the en-suite of my room), but could be slightly better heated in winter. The breakfast is...

My wife, two kids (11 and 8) and I stayed at the Granat Schlossl for 5 nights in mid-December 2013. It's a lovely family-run hotel with good rooms and lovely breakfast. The family were very friendly and willing to help. The hotel is only a 2 minute walk from the ski school and ski rental, and there's a very good...

For some years now we each time look forward again to our yearly stay at Granat Schlössl which is a tiny little cosy hotel located right at the entrance of what is without doubt one of the most interesting ski resorts in Austria. Friendly welcome, personal and always very attentive service and a casual no-nonsense atmosphere complement the traditional dishes...

Just spent a week at the Granat Schlossl and had a great time! Josef held a short welcome get-together Sunday evening, where he introduced himself and the staff, with complementary champagne. This was really a nice beginning to the week. We had the half board, which includes an all-you-can-eat breakfast and dinner each evening. Dinner usually consisted of a choice...

Very nice family hotel where you come at home, relax and enjoy good Austrian food after being out skiing all day. We experienced a warm welcome and hospitality by the family and staff of the Granat Schlössl. Room was nice and clean as is the rest of the hotel and restaurant. The atmosphere is genuine, no-nonsense, informal which we like....

We have just returned from a week's skiing in Obergurgl and stayed at the Granat Schlossl. The first thing to say is that the hotel is not in a bad location just not in the centre of the village and the access is a bit tricky as we had to be towed out by a landrover! Everything about the hotel...

If you like nice surprises - then you will love to discover Obergurgle. First of all because the whole place makes a rare and nice mixture of a reserved premiumness and family warmth. Second - great skying opportunities and a wonderful quality service. Austria is, was and will be the best here. Great pistes (quality, quantity), lifts and apres-skying. Even...

My family would like to thank the owners of hotel for their warm hospitality during our stay! We were only there one night, and were the only guests. Manuel was very happy to have us all the same! Thank you! We ate at the hotels summer house. A nice walk took us there and we were greeted by the owners,...
