We booked four nights in this hotel for a relaxed long hiking weekend. Even though the rooms are modern, clean and spacious this hotel only gets an average rating as the food is disappointing. Dinner: The dinner is under average. It’s cantina style and does not meet the criteria for a four star hotel. They try to cover up their bad cooking by using plenty of salt and fat. Tonight’s chicken was so salty that all chicken taste got lost. And preparing a delightful chicken dinner should be routine for a four star cook. For pudding they served cheesecake which was obviously a frozen store bought cake. Dry, tasteless and heated up by microwave. This was served with only wiped cream and a lonely strawberry. As we have to more days here we mention our experience to reception who promised to pass it on the the manager. The receptionist handled our complaint professionally however we are not confident that much will change. Room: The rooms are spacious and clean and exactly as shown on the website. We have a nice balcony with good view to the mountains. I especially like the spacious walk in closet and the glove warmers in the bathroom. Spa: Nice spa area, it’s nothing special but enough to relax for an hour after a day out in the mountains. The sauna deserves a big shout out. We love the glass wall which gives a gorgeous view to green mountains meadows. There is a big roof area with plenty of deck chairs. Breakfast: They have good breakfast and everyone should be able to find something for a good start in the day. From nice cheese to fresh fruit, breads and buns, yoghurt and cold meets to eggs and bacon. …
I have been to St Anton lots in the winter but this was my first summer expedition and resulted is visiting some different places. Spent some time on the back terrace. Really loved the vibe here with some live music, really helpful staff and some nice wine (Riesling). Added bonus is the sun shine that lasts until early evening. The food was also perfectly good. Will definitely try when skiing next
Wife and I stayed here four nights over Christmas, loved Anthony's and would definitely choose to stay there again. Location is perfect on the pedestrian street (limited car traffic), within easy walking distrance to the three main lifts in the St Anton base area. Hotel adjoins Intersport for ski rentals and overnight storage; just go downstairs, put on your boots, grab your skis and walk to the hill. Hotel spa was AWESOME with outdoor jacuzzi staring directly at the mountain, large sauna with floor-to-ceiling windows also looking at the mountain, plus steam room and great quiet lounge area. Free breakfast was excellent, and that area becomes a great pizza/pasta restaurant at night. One level down from pizza/pasta is their steakhouse, which we found to be very good, and a solid option for "staying home" for a couple nights. Was surprised the last night to go down to the steakhouse and find a GREAT guitar guy playing up on stage. All around, Anthony's delivers the full package of what I desire on vacation. Nicely done.…
This hotel has a lovely modern feel to it. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with plenty of storage. Great powerful shower & large bath. Plenty of hot water. Beds very comfortable although pillows were too soft.We found the room too hot to sleep in, despite turning the thermostat down. We mentioned to reception and this was sorted. Our room (309) faced the mainly pedestrian area at back of hotel. It was a bit noisy with people coming back from nights out and then early morning deliveries/bin lorries/road clearing. I think rooms at front overlooking slopes would be quieter. Ski hire & storage from the inter sport shop in the hotel. Very helpful staff. There is a spa on 4th floor with steam room & sauna. There also a hot tub on the roof, although it wasn’t always warm enough. Would stay here again.…
We stayed on the recommendation from a friend & couldn’t be happier. A beautiful clean, warm & friendly hotel, excellent located near the lifts. The rooms have all the fittings & fixtures you need. A great breakfast & they do a decent pizza in the evening. They also did all your ski passes. One criticism, I know a first world problem ... the hot tub needed to be hotter!
