Thanks to the generosity of owner Hannes Schneider, my husband and I enjoyed a fabulous week at the Galzig apartment! Hannes graciously donated a one week stay at this amazing property as a raffle prize benefiting the North Conway branch of the New England Ski Museum. I was the lucky winner. The apartment is gigantic. It has a large entry with a sofa and a couple of chairs and plenty of room for outerwear, etc. There are two big bedrooms each with a private bath. The master also has a terrace overlooking the Rendl ski area. The living space includes comfortable seating, a terrace looking out at the Rendl cable cars and ski slopes, a fully equipped kitchen and a very big dining area large enough to accommodate six or more. The views from the large windows in this room are truly impressive. Skiers and non-skiers will be more than happy in the Galzig apartment. Thank you Hannes!

Jean, Thank you very much for the kind words. I was glad to have you as guests as well as support a great cause that helps keep the history of skiing in the United States alive! I hope to meet you again someday in St. Anton or New England. Hannes

Our family of five had the pleasure to stay two weeks in the Galzig apartment. It is very spacious with a very large living/dining room/ kitchen with stunning view over St. Anton and Rendl ski area. Additionally it has two bedrooms both with their own full bathroom. The apartment is well equipped and only a 10 minutes walk from the ski lifts and city center, where as a complimentary service of the house, you can store your skis and booths in one of the ski depots, so you do not have to carry all your gear to the house everyday. Lastly, special thanks to Marte, the housekeeper, who took very good care of us and Hannes, the owner, who made us feel very welcome. We liked our stay so much, that we immediately booked for next year again!

This really is a very large apartment with 2 double rooms (beds cannot be pulled apart to make twins) and one double sofa bed in the main living area. Very comfortable to spread out and relax. Great views.
Two large bathrooms (with baths) and a well equipped kitchen with second fridge in the utility. Plenty of glasses.
If I had one negative it was that some kitchen items (chopping boards, knives) were looking a bit tired. But I am being rather picky here.
The apartment is a 10 minute walk downhill into the main hub of gondolas in St Anton. I understand there is a bus but we didn't see it - but the walk was fine anyway.
Booking with Hannes and interacting with Martha was a pleasure and Hannes was extremely helpful and responsive.
Not inexpensive (it's St Anton) but great value per square metre!
I would book again. I hope I do.

The Fahrner Hof proved to be the perfect location for our week-long visit to Austria. The apartment is clean, spacious and homey. It includes all of the necessary amenities and yet retains the distinctive quaintness of Alpine Austria. The vistas are terrific, and we especially enjoyed evening views from our bedroom balcony. The shops and restaurants of the village are a short walk away, as is ready access to lifts, numerous hiking trail heads and the local train station (for those who might enjoy an easy day-trip to Zurich or Innsbruck). In short, we can't wait to return.

Fahrnerhof was the perfect Austrian getaway. Although it is in a convenient location, it is inviting, restful and quiet as soon as you enter. The large rooms absorb sound, so even a festive gathering with friends feels private.

Rooms, furniture, and especially the cozy beds are very comfortable and there are breathtaking views out of every window.

The apartment is well appointed and provided all the basics for preparing our own meals and light entertaining. Five of us stayed in the Galzig apartment in total comfort.
