I ski every year and this hotel was the best for ski-in ski-out fanatics. You literally make a couple of steps out of the ski room and you can start putting the skis on. Bergbannen ski lift is a short blue run from the hotel. Skiing back you just take a pick betwen black or red that lead you straight...

For our ski-holiday 2017 we looked for a hotel right on the ski slopes. How ever, arriving at the scène, the direct area arround the hotel was green. The temperature was to high for maintening the snow conditions. The first days we had the possibility to descend to the base lift. The upper-area of Solden had perfect snow conditions. A...

Our second time at the Alpengasthof Gruner. This hotel certainly has the best ski-in ski-out and in-house ski service that we have found. We enjoy the after-ski cakes and strudel along with a nice drink on the bar terrace overlooking the ski area nursery slopes with views south to Obergurgl. The food is good, comfort food for skiers and a...

Our room and the common areas were decorated in a traditional style. Pleasant, but on the verge of feeling slightly dated. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. On the first night, we arrived at the tail-end of the farmers' buffet and began to think we'd made a bad decision (food-wise, at least). What was left was a bit dried out and past...

Having skied and snowboarded in Soelden over the past 10 years and stayed in various accommodations in the town, this hotel has outdone itself! I have eaten, drinked and skied past this hotel numerous times previously, this is the first time we have stayed at this hotel. Having the option to ski in and ski out, ski hire shop is...

Having skied in Switzerland on 3 prior trips, I always yearned to ski in Austria. The opportunity arose to Soelden, a ski area I hadn't heard of. To my delight, it was a great 6 day trip, plus 30 most interesting hours in Innsbruck upon landing, with perfect mid-winter weather with immediate access right outside the Gruener slope side building...

We stayed for a week at the Alpengasthof Grüner, where we booked two double rooms. Reception was friendly; perfect parking space for the car undergrounds; clean and spacious rooms.. The location is just superb: in/out skiing, right next to the slopes. Very quiet nights, while lots of night activities not too far away. Breakfast buffet is honest, and you find...

We came here only to enjoy dinner in all honesty. But FINALLY! We found a good and more specifically a quiet place in Sölden. After trying quite some restaurants in the centre, we found out that most of them were very 'touristic' meaning that averageness and impersonality are king there. At this place, we discovered immediately a genuinely warm atmosphere...
