Very fresh and newly refurbished apartment. Two big bedrooms with large double beds and a very good bathroom each. "Only" a kitchen table and two lounge chairs as a common lounge area. Full equipped kitchen even if a few more knives, forks and spoons would be convenient.

Private parking at the house. Close to the main road, but some houses in-between so no disturbing noise from the road whatsoever. 15 minutes to Sölden and walking distance to cross-country skiing.

Very quick service from Bernadett when we had questions. Frequent change of towels.

High speed Internet connection in the bedrooms.

Very hospitable and helpful owner. Cute house and spacious apartment. Perfect location. Close to ski bus, bakery and still very quite. We parked our car during the stay and took the free bus for a 15 min ride to Solden ski lifts.

We have visited Gasthof Sonnenheim in Langenfeld in January 2024 and were delighted by the way the owners run their home and the hospitality they have provided. They are so perfectly organized and helpful in all possible ways. We really enjoyed our stay and skiing in Solden and Gurgl. Highly recommended to visit. Thank you Bernadett!

Our travel agent called Sonnenheim a hotel and insisted that the food was excellent, however I don't quite agree with them. It's not a real hotel, but rather a small family-run inn which does have its charm. However, they seem to have very limited space, so the rooms, the 'restaurant' and the bar area are all very small.

We stayed in room 202 which is traditionally decorated and comfortable enough, but tiny. The bed was comfortable with warm duvets and good pillows. Storage space was limited, mostly because of lack of hangers in the large closet. The bathroom was also tiny, but spotless. There was no soap or shampoo, so we very lucky that we'd brought our own soap.

The restaurant is also rather small and they have a limited amount of tables. When the hotel is full, the restaurant becomes unbearable. I'm not fussy, but too many people in too little space made it very much noisy, cramped and stuffy. Furthermore, you don't get your own table for dinner and breakfast. You share with the guests in the neighbouring rooms. We were lucky as we shared our table with four really nice people, but I must admit that I would have preferred to have my breakfast and dinners in peace with my husband.

The food is average, but plentiful. It's traditional local cuisine, so if you enjoy schnitzel, clear soup with knödel, vegetables in vinegar etc. you'll be in heaven. They serve 4-5 courses every night, so you sure won't go to bed on an empty stomach.

Staff was really nice and the place is very clean. It's close to one of the main lifts (Giggijochbahn). It's within walking distance of the centre, but out of the way, so very quiet.

I stayed solo for two nights in June.

Easily found on the edge of this small town - close to the main road, but far enough away not to be disturbed by it - 10 minutes walk into town centre but cows in the barn/pasture just across the street. Perfect for me.

Limited car parking, but it worked OK.

Friendly and efficient check in - this is not a hotel, so there is no permanent front desk - simply ring the doorbell.

Adequately sized , comfortable and clean room with a good standard of linen. Decent shower pressure.

The restaurant was not operating at this time of the year. Breakfast was a standard buffet style with sufficient quality choices without being that extensive.

Enough eateries open in the town centre to satisfy most tastes - a quality/pricey restaurant being 5 minutes walk away in the opposite direction on the other side of the river.

Decent enough WiFi.

Good base for mountain walks via the cable cars or valley walks/bicycle rides - I hired a quality bicycle from literally just around the corner.

Good value.

I arrived later than expected at the hotel. At about 20 minutes before 22:00 I called the hotel to ask about check in times and warn them I was later than expected.

A rude woman answered the phone and said I could no longer check in, the hotel was closed. No alternative, not a care for their guests.

I didn't stay and had to share a colleague's room that night. Totally unprofessional and unhelpful.

This is not a real hotel. Avoid this place!!!

Response from Gabriela B, Inhaber at Gasthof Sonnenheim
Responded 11 Jan 2018
