Top-Location, just at the slope. Free parking, very nice staff, cosy rooms and great food. If you are an avid skier, this is the place to stay.
Free shuttle bus to the center of Sölden, stop about 5 minutes from the hotel.
Definitely recommended!

We were pleasantly surprised. Found the hotel last minute. We had a family room with separate bed and living room plus a big roof terrace.. All newly refurbed, including the stylish bathroom. We have two babies and the cots were already placed in the room. We didnt need to ask for baby chairs as they were already at our designated table during meal times. The food was absolutely excellent. The owners organised a mini Christmas party (we were there on 24th Dec) followed by a fantastic 7- course dinner. Staff was friendly and forthcoming. The hotel also enjoys a small but great wellness area. The only minor negative comment would be for the room cleaning team. We will def go back.

HI

Spent a week in this lovely hotel. Really conveniently located. Staff were extremely helpful. The food was fab. Kids loved the pool. And they even organised our ski equipment hire for us from the hotel. Thoroughly recommended. Thanks for great stay

January 2019, we arrived at the hotel. And I'm very sorry that we did!
Important note - the other hotel staff were very nice and pleasant!
We had a rough landing where out baggage with all ski clothing didn't make it. We had to make a stop to purchase everything, therefore arriving at the hotel at 02:00. I tried calling from 17:00 but there was no answer. Nobody called, because nobody cared.
The whole time we were there we felt seriously unwanted. Not a smile, not a question of how are we enjoying ourselves, no hospitality whatsoever! Short and rude answers to any question!
The shower soap squeezer gone on the second day. When I asked if someone can bring it back I got rude questions like "where do you think is it" like I'm one of the service staff not doing their job. Next day I and my friend find a pile of plastic bottles soaps in our room although we have like 2 days left. A very declarative pile of soap!
The hotel presents a hot pool, one of my main parameters of booking that hotel. The pool was COLD. So, when I asked the owner if there's anything can be done I was answered again in rudeness that "this is not a whirlpool!!".
She was just patronising us in every opportunity!
We couldn't understand what have we done wrong to her!? We were quite, minding our own business all that time and had no feeling of being welcome at all. As if they paid us to stay there and not the other way around.
Last day there was a snow storm and risk of avalanche, she didn't even bother to tell us that we cannot check out next day although she knew hours and hours before, she just left it for us to discover upon wanting to check out. She really looked like she enjoyed announcing " you cannot leave, No! Not by car, not by plane, not by train (there is no train there)" and refused to let us checkout!!
Next day we still had another day to spend in the village because nobody could leave due to the avalanche. We finally ran off and found another hotel!

We booked the hotel for our spring skiing holidays. Unfortunately we came across very bad experiences and behaviour. The hotel has special offer all over the internet and weekly price offer on hotel official web side. Special offer package was supposed to be including accommodation, half-board, skipass and after skiing snack from 22.3.2014 and that was one of the reason we choose it. So we booked the package, payed the advance payment, received confirmation of package price from the hotel but with checking out we were told that skipass was not included as well as there was not discount for child age of 14. The difference was more than 1500 eur which is huge amount of money. The reception [ she introduced herself as the owner of the hotel ] physically attacked two persons from our group, called the police on us, threaten us with court and did not want to accept any payment at all apart from the mentioned overcharge. We were forced to leave and pay by bank transfer after returning home. We travel around skiing areas often but never meet such horrible, rude and unfriendly hotel reception as in hotel Elisabeth, Solden

I gave my business partner a four days holiday in this hotel, as a present. I payed on Booking.com a whole sum in advance. When he wanted to check out , lady at the reception insisted he needs to pay again whole bill. Despite the fact he asked them to check out his file they didn’t want to give him a passport back before he payed. I went to the hotel same evening to see what exactly happened. One lady , said she is a waitress, refused to discuss with me. She refused to see confirmation I wanted to show to her. She said she can not read!!! She was very very rude. At the end of short conversation , she shouted on me and told me to leave hotel immediately. I said to her I will call inspection to investigate this case- she responded “I don’t care, I’m not afraid of anyone. I never ever seen this kind of behaviour in my life. First, I’m sure she is a manager, thief and lyer! I suggest all travelers to avoid going to this hotel!!! They stole almost 600 eur from my business partner. This lady is ready for pshyatric eveluation or needs to be processed by police!!! I suggest hotel owners to think whether this lady is capable of working, because she is ruining their business!!!

We spent one week in hotel Elisabeth Solden in March 2014. First of all I must say that we were not pleased with people at the reception desk. As we had arrived instead of warm invitation we were strictly informed that our reservation was changed from our side - no discussion. When the reception desk realized they made a mistake, no sorry from them at all.
Whole time we felt like unwelcome in the hotel. Only one person from restaurant service /the man/ was nice and friendly.
Food was good, but a small selection of salads and lack of cheese - it was enough only for a few guests.
The problem with parking.
Rooms were modern and clean, wellness also but swimming pool does not correspond with picture presenting by the hotel. Very very very small.
Not enough snow to get into the hotel on skis, last two days we had to go through mud and melted snow, watter.

Would not recommend this hotel. More negatives than positives

We arrived at reception , hotel Elizabeth Solden,
stood patiently for 5 minutes while the receptionist sat in her adjoining office ,obviously ignoring me ....
I tapped on the bell and waited ......
another few minutes , I rang for second time ...

She emerged , and before greeting me , snatched the bell off the front desk , hid it behind the computer and obliged me with a stern 'YES ?! '
No 'hello'
Her attitude was openly hostile and angry ...
She reluctantly showed us the 'suite' , which was a small bedroom and an awful uninhabitable 'lounge' , and she scurried off moments later ..

We waited an age for her again at reception and asked about availability of other rooms , to which she curtly replied 'No ' and if we don't like that one , we must leave 'her hotel ' and 'go and find another hotel in Solden ..'

VERBATIM

What a rude employee I thought !!
Imagine my horror when she then informed me the she OWNED THE HOTEL !!!!

Needless to say we ran out of there ....

Brigitte , my advice to you is to leave the hospitality business ASAP as you're obviously just not suited to it ..

We have just returned home from our yearly Easter ski trip, decided on Solden because of the glacier . firstly the hotel Elisabeth is situated above solden in Innerwald and for the first day we were able to walk 10 minutes to the lift and also ski back near to the hotel but because of lack of snow the runs and lift we're closed the 2nd day so this would be something to take into account if it's important for you, saying that the busses then began to pick up and drop off nearby . The plus points for this hotel are the quiet location and the spacious family rooms also the male waiter that served us at dinner who was the saving grace of our stay here. Unfortunately those are the only positive comments as we actually checked out of the hotel Elisabeth early even tho due to the Austrian hotel laws we lost our money and had to pay to stay somewhere else .The main problem was the attitude of the team of staff mainly the reception lady who made it very apparent that we were a bother to her from the minute we got there it made us all very uncomfortable and was very unprofessional to the point of rolling her eyes when I tried to ask her a question it was very upsetting. The breakfast was dreadful but didn't have to be , the warmer for the bacon and eggs that had been sitting there was not efficient as it was stone cold but when we mentioned it once again the attitude was dreadful hardly an acknowledgment and remained cold every morning . The clever photo of the pool is misleading as this is the actual size! Take this into consideration if you like to splash about with you're children after a days skiing. Really in a nutshell you look forward to you're one ski holiday with you're family and you then feel like you are putting someone out by staying at their hotel and feel like its a chore and difficult to be there that's what we felt like and felt so elated when we checked into the alphof solden for the remainder of our stay when the children were acknowledged and smiled at as is normal in Austria it saved our holiday .

We stayed here over the weekend and the Hotel was great. Welcoming staff, newly renovated Hotel, great Spa area (for a small hotel this was a nice surprise) the hotel is out of the main town, but if you like a quieter setting its perfect. A taxi to town is about 10euros, but there is also a bus stop nearby, or a short walk across a piste takes you to a small shuttle train, taking you directly into the town centre. Great choice of food at breakfast and the evening meals were plentiful and very good standard. The menu is set, but you are told each morning what the menu will be so if you don't like something i'm sure you could have another option. All in all a fabulous hotel and giid value for money...i've seen many hotels and this is definately one we will return to. All in all, a little gem...highly recommended.
