We have just returned from a great stay at The Tyrolerhof. Our Flair room was spacious and clean. The spa is great at the end of a day on the slopes, which are reached after a short walk to one of the two main cable cars. We hired skis and boots from the in house Grizzly Sports (very new and top condition for same price as you would pay in InterSport, where the service and kit would be nowhere near as good). The guys there are very helpful. Breakfast and dinners all varied and excellent quality with attentive waitresses/waiters. The Grizzly bar is great for a before dinner drink. Thoroughly recommend this as a place to base your winter holiday.

The hotel was spotlessly clean. The food was excellent at both breakfast and dinner. The vegetarian option for one of our party was always good, especially considering that Austrian hotels have not traditionally done veggie options well. Each night the main course options were 2 meat dishes, one fish and one veggie. Soup, salad and other starters were all fantastic, as was desert. So much to choose from, I had to try everything!
Staff were friendly and all spoke good English. (They we’re very accommodating when I attempted my 35 year old GCSE German!)
Walk to the Giggijoch lift was about 4 minutes. The boot room was adequate and had heated boot warmers.
The pool was not horrendously cold as some commenters have stated, but not that warm either. There is an option to go full European in the sauna and wellness area, but the sauna nearest the pool was available for those who did not want to be naked, but when in Rome…..

Wonderful holiday all round, made better by the hotel and staff. Dora in particular was such a good host.

If there was one thing to improve it would be to be able to control the temperature of our room. Given how hot it was, I had to open the window at night, which meant we could hear drunk holidayers into the early hours.

Hotel was easily the best in ten years of skiing in different resorts in Austria. Room was spacious and very clean, spa amazing with pool, saunas and comfortable loungers in ‘quiet’ rooms and free herbal teas. Five course buffet dinners and plenty of choice for breakfast. Apres ski bar in hotel ‘Grizzlys’ the best we found in resort for quieter evenings for our group all in our mid to late forties. Five min walk from boot room each morning to Giggijoch lift. About to book again for 2021!

Great place to stay for skiing.
Refurbishment is great quality.
Staff are superb.
To be able to relax in the Grizzly bar before the evening meal is perfect.
I can’t give it 5 stars as the pool is too cold, and the lift will decide to go to any other floor but where you are.
All this said, we are returning in March.

Fantastic hotel with excellent hospitality, friendly staff especially in the Restaurant. lovely bedrooms, spotlessly clean all round and a very nice indoor pool and spa. Perfectly suited for Solden ski lifts and in the centre of the village. Buffet style for meals but still top quality and good choice. We will be back!

One of the worst ski vacation ever.
We made a mistake in booking the hotel for 8 nights rather than 4 nights. We informed the hotel in advance that this was a mistake. At check out we were charged 3000 euro extra for that mistake!!!
Here the problem just started.
The hotel manager, miss Feldner-Falkner, came us and started to yell at us!! "You come to Austria and you want to change our rules!!!" She shouted. I was trying to explain that I'm just asking why she want to charge us 90% cancellation fee of 4 nights?!?!? We were only trying to explain that this was an honest mistake. Off course my explanation went over her ears and she left. We ended up paying almost 7000 euros rather than 3500.
Now for the rest of the review:
The hotel is far away from the main lift, bars, après ski.
The beds in this hotel can fit a teenager maybe.
The carpets were updated more than a century ago and they smell.
I will not recommend this hotel.

Dear Guest, thank you for your second stay in our hotel. We are a bit confused about your review. You cancelled one room in February and we cancelled that room completely free of charge for you! Also you booked three rooms from Friday on for 8 nights, as you didn’t arrive WE contacted YOU. You answered us by Email that you made a mistake and that you know that there are fees to pay. We told you exactly per mail which costs you will have to pay. We are astonished that you rated our new “Ambiente” rooms so bad. These rooms, including the carpet, were completely refurbished 2 years ago and it was the second time you stayed in these rooms. As you can see in other reviews, our hotel is in the center of Sölden! Just 250 m to the Giggijoch Station, the ski school is at the other side of the street, the pharmacy is very nearby and you can also reach most of the Apré Ski bars, Clubs, sport shops and a grocery store within a minute. We are really sorry that you didn’t enjoy your stay and wish you and your friends all the best for the future!

Our holiday was totally ruined by the hotel owner, who has no clue about international customer service. It is a pity, as the hotel location is good, and rest of the team was trying hard to get customers to feel ok. In our case the hotel had found fleas in our room. They called us back from the slopes and had the attitude that our dogs (that we had agreed to have with us) are dirty and brought fleas with them. She had asked us to leave the hotel immediately. We took our dogs to the doctor, and they no fleas or any other bugs. After that the hotel owner never came back to apologize. When calling her she said we are ok to stay in the room that they had found fleas! No apology or anything. They offered to change the room almost two days later. If you like clean rooms and good service, avoid this hotel.

The warm is working about 12 hours but economical!!! It's really cold in the rooms. I checked more rooms but it's the same!!!
I talked with the manager and she had an disgusting attitude. If we don't like we can pay 1000 Euro (half price from our holiday) and we can leave.
So please think twice before make a reservation to this hotel!!!!!!!!!!
