I spent 6 days at the hotel with an amazing staff. The breakfast is excellent with lots of options. The SPA is super good. The location couldn’t be better just 100m close by the gondola!! Lech is super close to Zürs. There you can find more options to have lunch or dinner but there are some good options near to the Guggis as well! I would stay at this same place again😀
I just returned from 5 wonderful days at the Guggis. The owner, Herr Walch, and his family and staff who run the hotel are wonderful, the best, most friendly service. The room was fantastic (32 m2, much bigger than most in the area) and the breakfast was awesome. We normally go half-board when skiing but going B&B was a revelation; no pressure to get down to dinner before you really want to, and no temptation to eat far more food than you really need! I don't think we'll ever go back to HB. There are plenty of gorgeous hotels nearby both on the doorstep in tiny Zurs, and in Lech a short free bus ride away. For many years this used to be a 4-star HB hotel like most of the others in Lech/Zurs but the Walch's decided a few years ago that evening service was more than they could manage in their later years, so they wend B&B only. As a result the hotel has the feel of a lovely 4-star hotel, complete with gorgeous spa. We had such a fabulous time we're hoping to back again later this season! All in all, perfect!…
5-star everything here at Hotel Guggis. The Family Walsh run a perfectly charming family hotel at the best location in the Lech/Zürs area. Warm, clean and cozy rooms welcomed us each day with beautiful views and quiet Alps ambience. The hotel is a block off the main road, which is a huge bonus. The breakfasts and aprés ski snacks were both excellent and definitely a highlight for us. The staff, especially the incomparable Christian, took care of our every wish. Even when our requests were many, Valentina and her parents went out of their way to make sure we were completely satisfied and happy. This was our first visit to the area, and we were so glad we chose the Hotel Guggis! We plan to visit again!!
We just returned from an amazing long weekend of skiing and bachelorette party celebrations during which we stayed at Hotel Guggis. I cannot say enough positive things about the property and staff. We stayed in both of the lofts which take up the entire fourth floor. The view was incredible. They each have two bedrooms, one bath and a living space that can be booked separately or together. If booked together, doors can stay open in between and it becomes one large group space perfect for friend and family hang outs. The space was so comfortable and charming. Surprisingly we got not a single noise complaint while staying in this very quiet hotel and we were a rowdy bunch. This is a family owned property and every member of the staff is incredibly helpful and so nice (major shout out to Christian!). If you decide not to Apres Ski at the end of the day, the hotel has a 4PM free meal and the saunsa/foot bath are open for use. You can purchase lift tickets (cash only) at the front desk, book taxis and organize lessons at the front desk and airport transportation. There is also a great ski rental service just down the road (walking distance) called the Friendly Brandle that the hotel works with. You can pre-book your gear and then stop by for a boot fitting upon arrival. They deliver it straight to the ski room in the hotel basement where you can ski in and ski out. There are three Zurs lifts within walking distance from the hotel where you can purchase lift tickets by credit card. I'd highly recommend reaching out via email to the hotel with a list of everything you are trying to organize because they can help you sort it all for the best price. As a dumb American who knew nothing about the area, this was profoundly helpful. Note that this hotel is in Zurs, not St. Anton, which is a 20 minute taxi or 45 minute- hour long bus ride away. Taxis are quite pricy in this area, so keep that in mind (about 60 euro for a one-way cab for six people). The bus is free and easy to catch at the end of the road. You can take a series of lifts and one path down to get to St. Anton as well. It takes about an hour but you can ski right into Moosewirt going that route. Again, love this spot and can't wait to go back! Thank you Hotel Guggis.…
The Walch family took very good care of our family of six and made us feel at home..Good breakfast and afternoon snack...good service ..lovely Austrian experience. I would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in a typical Austrian hotel at a reasonable price.
