Nice enough for a couple of nights and what I expected for the price. The staff were nice however the bar closed very early and there was no where to get any drinks as the vending machine was card only. There are quite a few extras you need to pay for as well, a travel cot is 13.50 a night, parking is 6.50 a day and even coffee pods in the room were 0.50 a pod.

Stayed here for 1 night. Not our best stay at the beach. When comming in the room the heating was off and the beds were not made. (We had to make our own beds??) In the morning we came to the conclusion that we had No towels. (€4 rent for 1 set). The kitchen was ok equiped. The lobby was nice. The rooms could have been nicer. Do not expect Hotel services.

I have stayed here three times on my own with two young children. I love this aparthotel. Very reasonably priced, very accessible, free onsite parking which is rare on this coast, a short walk to the most amazing beach. There's a great Frituur, bakery, delicatessen and newsagent very nearby. There's a family friendly cafe/bar/restaurant across the road. The coastal tram is a 5min walk. There's also a safe, enclosed play area in the grounds.

The apartments are light, clean, modern and well equipped. It also set away from the big, noisier towns so perfect for families.

The staff are so friendly and always greet us well and seem to remember us.

All in all, highly recommended if staying on de kust.

We stayed here for a short autumn-break. We didn't mind so much that the 'beach hotel' is not at the beach. It is a pleasant location, plenty of parking, in the outskirts of a small village (and not at the ugly coast-line at this part of the Noordzee). The apartment is convenient, nicely divided into living-section and bedroom, comfortable. The interior of the recently renewed restaurant and sitting area is totally Riviera Maison style, cosy sort of colonial style. We have only one serious complaint to the management: we both had a dreadful allergy attack in the apartment?! We think that the apartment, not having been used for a while, was very dusty and had not been cleaned (wet, with a mob) before our
entry. Besides the central heating could not be controlled. (15 C at the thermostat and yet very hot in the room). There is certainly room for improvement.........

Dear guest Thank you very much for your review. We are glad to hear you had a great stay in our hotel, and enjoyed your apartment. It suprises us, that the apartment was dusty and not well cleaned. In fact, during the winter, we strip down the whole hotel for a proper big cleaning. Maybe the previous guests who slept in the apartment, owned a dog. We are a dog friendly hotel, and from time to time, even one dog hair can cause allergy. The next time, you are always welcome to report this at the reception. We can give you another apartment immediately, or send somebody to vacuum and wet clean it again. We checked the heating in the apartment, and it works. We hope this doesn't keep you, from visiting our hotel a second time. Always welcome!

We stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Family rooms are equipped with a small kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and coffee machine. We had a 6 person room with 2 high beds and a couch in the living room that can be extended to a bed.
Sheets and Towels are not included, so you need to order those when booking your room.
Pets are allowed for a minor fee.
The Staff is very friendly and helpful.
The Breakfast Area is absolutely amazing with a huge variety of all kinds of cereals, breads, yogurts,... rarely seen in other hotels.
They also have a great looking bar with decent prices for their drinks.
The Bar, Reception and Breakfast area are decorated with ¨Riviera Maison¨ furniture and accessories, a must see.

First, the good. Bright, recently renovated apartment, comfortable bed, everything very clean. Kitchenette appeared to be well-functioning, but since we only stayed for 2 nights and didn't cook there, I can't say how well-equipped it was. Nice balcony. Plenty of parking, a children's playground, nice landscaping, etc.

The not-so-good... Check-in was difficult. Reception is closed after 6pm, and you have to call the owner and get a code for a lock-box. Unfortunately, for some reason the number listed on the door didn't work from our Dutch phones. After a few tries, we got through on the emergency number listed on the Booking confirmation. Then we discovered there were no sheets or towels - apparently some guests bring their own. The sheets and towels were delivered while we were out getting a bite to eat, but we had to make our own beds. (OK, it's not a full-service hotel, but really?)

We had breakfast at the hotel once... Coffee was so-so, buffet selection was poor.

Overall... a fine budget place to stay for a family beach holiday, but that's about it. Of course that's exactly what the Zon en Zee aspires to.

Made an overnight stop here on a coach trip to Brussels. The apartments are basic and a little dated but spotlessly clean and the other areas of the hotel (reception, bar and restaurant) are beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishings. There were tasteful christmas decorations up at the time of our visit too which added to atmosphere. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. Breakfast buffet looked good but we were leaving too early to try it - there's a lovely little bakery open early on the street corner nearby to grab something on the go.

Fijne dag!
