The hotel is satisfactory it’s out dated and needs a refurb , I travelled with my friend so it didn’t affect our holiday but don’t go if you want a family holiday to keep kids occupied. The food is boring and bland, the only decent time to eat was breakfast, however the other restaurant on the sea front (part of the hotel) that you paid for food was lovely, the beds are rock hard and rooms very basic. The pool is lovely and it has a lovely location on the sea front. You can walk to the harbour, the sandy beach area is stacked full on people basically lying arm to of each other. If you want food on the seafront that isn’t a proper restaurant you need cash. Take beach shoes if you plan to go in the sea as it’s stoney. You can hire sunbeds on the platforms for €5 per day.

A really clean older hotel. Hard working friendly staff. Food good lots of choice and time to eat all inclusive alcohol men's wine and beer with food. Brilliant location. Great pool. No problem with getting sun beds. Better for older physically able people. Not a lot for young singles to do.

We stayed in this hotel as part of a tour with Riviera travel. We were supposed to stay at the hotel Olympia. Vodice is a lovely unspoilt little town with plenty of bars and restaurants all with a fabulous waterfront view. The Punta is within easy walking distance of the beautiful sea front. The rooms are a little tired but they are clean and the beds are comfortable. The restaurant staff are amazing, I am a vegetarian and after mentioning this to the maître d I was cooked something specifically every night rather than just picking my way round the buffet having to leave out the meat and fish. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. yes the hotel needs some money spent on it and perhaps review a couple of its ideas but under the circumstances it does really well. It has a pool with a bar and a spa but unfortunately I did not get time to use these.

From the second you arrive, you will be disappointed.

The hotel looks like it hasnt been renovated since the 80s when it was built. This is not an all inclusive hotel as advertised. We booked all inclusive on Love holidays so we are extremely unhappy.

The food is awful, no heat lamps over the food either so its warm at a push if you dont get it fresh the second its out. The food is so bad that we have eaten out most nights. You have a choice of 9 hot things for dinner and 6 for breakfast and lunch. Awful amount.

You cant get fresh juice unless you pay for it.

You have to pay for all your drinks which is expensive. (Remember its meant to be all inclusive)

The air con in the room we have turned off because its pointless, does not work at all.

The outdoor pool is the coldest water iv ever felt, Penguins wouldnt even get in it.

There is 20 sunbeds. For 3 hotels, as the pool area is shared by not just hotel punta but 2 more hotels either side. Absolutely appaulling.

Croatia is lovely. Just dont go to this hotel.

Let me get the goods things out first. The people were lovely, the hygiene was excellent, the food was plentiful and tasty.

The reason I chose this hotel was that it stated that it was 20 meters from the sandy beach. The hotel is NOT 20 meters from the beach. There are NO sandy beaches in Vodice.

That (false) statement was the reason I chose it, my mum is hard of walking and that description seemed perfect. The whole holiday was spoiled because of that.

The beach may be 20 meters from the hotel, if you flew over it, and the "beach" you would reach was a strip of concrete approximately 1.5 meters wide that would take you to a rocky patch that would lead to the sea. It involved going up and down various stairs, and that was if the hotel in front of Punta wasn't pissed off to barricade the access to the beach, which then would mean going all the way around.

As I mentioned before, the whole reason I wanted to bring my mum there is that she can hardly walk, the description of the hotel sounded like the right thing. In reality, we had to walk approximately 1/2 mile every day to reach the spot where she could get into the sea without having to jump into it. I ended up tiring her more than relaxing her. I am REALLY, REALLY angry about that.

And as for the sandy beaches!! One needs a pair of plastic shoes to get into the sea as the stones are too many and too sharp. The whole thing is a disaster.

Another thing about the hotel is that at the dinner time you were not allowed to get the tap water (which is excellent, one of the best in the region, hence the name Vodice which means Water), but had to by a 0.75cl bottle at a price of £3.50. I thought it outrageous.

Oh, and, hotel did not issue any beach towels (4 star???) so we had to buy some.

All in all, as I said before, the people are lovely, the food is good, but the hotel ABSOLUTELY cannot be rated as a 4 star. They lied about the facilities. If I could I would ask for my money back. Can I? Actually, I will try from Expedia who, I now know, knew about the shortfalls of the hotel.

PS. Dalmatia is a lovely place, the islands and the coast is beautiful and everybody should go and visit. But I would not recommend the hotel Punta.

The hotel is situated in a very good location away from the noise of the town m it has amaizing sea views form the rooms and the services that they offer are absolutely amaizing! Great food and very friendly staff. Room service very good and fast. Food was served as buffe but you could also order from the restaurant if you wanted to. The inside pool amazing. I still havent found in uk a person as good as the massage lady in the hotel ( sorry I dont remember her name) but highly recommend you have a massage!!!! There is a pool outside the hotel as well as the hotel being next to the sea side. I would highly recommend this hotel as I personally have had a great experience !

Me and my husband stayed in Punta hotel in Vodice this August for ten days, and generally speaking, it was fantastic!
I'll start with the minor disadvantages I mentioned, because they are actually insignificant when compared to all the good things about the hotel.
It is a bit outdated not to have free wireless internet in the rooms, or at least in the lobby of the hotel; but in Punta there is no such thing. You have to pay for the internet access, approximately 10 Euro for one day, which is way too much! On the other hand, this price and the lack of free internet in the rooms prevented us from wasting precious holiday time on reading news, facebook and other things one usually does - so this actually turned out to be positive!
Another thing is that you have to pay your parking place extra, also about 10 euro per day (the stay in the hotel is relatively pricy, so the parking place should have been covered by that, especially since the car park is just in front and back of the hotel - no need to pay for some extra location).
Those two disadvantages (conditionally speaking) are really insignificant, because the hotel experience overall is great. The staff is very nice, friendly and professional, willing to help you with all questions you have. The food is great, very abundant - they serve breakfast and evening supper. For breakfast you can choose from variety of fruit, cereals, dairy products, salamis, ham, scrambled egss, sausages etc. The coffee from the machine is simply fabulous! I just couldn't resist it...
The evening meal is even better - several sorts of cold and warm appetizers, soups, warm and cold dishes - fish, meat, vegetarian, side dishes, desserts, fruit - whatever you can imagine! This is also the first hotel where they had two dinner plates waiting for us, when we called in and let them know we would be arriving very late, even the time for dinner was long gone by the time we arrrived!
The location of the hotel is beautiful, ist is situated in a park near the seaside and beach. The hotel is unusually high (I think 10 or 11 stories), which is not common in the Dalmatian seaside architecture, so the views from the upper floors are magnificent! To make sure you have a seaview room, ask for rooms that end in -10, like 410, 510, etc and go for the upper floors.
The rooms are comfortable, beds are very cosy, and the cleanliness is one of the best features of the hotel! I did not see a speck of dust in the room.
The hotel is 2-3 minutes walk to the first beach, there are other beaches in the vicinity too, and some 5 minutes walk to the centre of Vodice, with all the restaurants, bars, street performers, stalls etc. The town is very lively, there are people out in the evenings until well after midnight and then there are the disco clubs that are open till the dawn...
The hotel itself is best for couples and families with children, but for other types of guests also.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in August 2014 and were very disappointed. Staff were unhelpful and standards of food and drink were both poor. Room facilities are weary and the lift was often out of order (10 floors!). The only point in the hotel's favour is its location close to the lovely Marina in Vodice - where we had some lovely meals, instead of taking up our half - board option at the hotel.

We had booked a superior double room with sea view, and we were really disappointed with the stay. We got a really old looking room, that smelled bad, had no shower soaps, bed was uncomfortable and the shower head couldn't move up and down.

It was supposed to be free wi-fi, but that was only for 30min and didn't even work in the room, full wi-fi cost 11 euro, and it said parking, but didn't say it was 11 euro per day also.

The only good thing was the location.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We are truly sorry that you were disappointed with your stay in hotel Punta. We do have junior suits, which are double size than rooms, if you are looking for more comfort. Wi-Fi is available in public areas and is free of charge. Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and charges are applicable. Hopefully, next time we will get opportunity to show you more of our qualities. Thank you for choosing hotel Punta and we will definitely work on our faults. Regards, Hotel Punta
