Restaurant and hotel Malling Kro is situatede 12 kilometres south af Aarhus in the heart of Malling in a nice and charming village envoironment near the woods and the beach. Busses and trains are departing just outside our door half an hour from the centre of Aarhus. Malling Kro has 8 low-priced but well-maintained rooms, all with own bathroom : We serve modern Danish cuisine with inspiration from France and we offer one of the most extensive wine lists in Denmark. Every month we change the menu. The brand new Letbane (electric train) fra Aarhus goes directly to our front door :-)

I just had an amazing party😀 I celebrated my round birthday at Malling Kro on Saturday. We were 55 guests who were spoiled to such an extent by super good service and lovely food. The inn probably can't take credit for the fantastic weather - (maybe they also had a hand in the game there anyway😉) - but it was the icing on the cake.... We had rented all 8 rooms, which were super delicious by the way, and woke up to the most lovely breakfast table, where everything was homemade - and Mie looked after us, handing out colors and coloring books to the children... Can HIGHLY recommend Malling Kro - we would love to come again❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Late summer greetings from Mette Møller

We have previously visited the inn and would like to visit again. Even though it was a new host couple, it was a great experience. Nice room, wonderful, wonderful food morning and evening as well as a super lunch snacks. Big praise to the entire staff and we are betting on a return visit. The light rail to Aarhus is recommended, it saves you the trouble of parking

We were at Malling Kro for a gourmet evening and overnight stay Super good experience, fantastic food and service Got the wine menu and it was so well matched - perfect pairing with the food. The male waiter provided an experience beyond the ordinary. Can be highly recommended! Got cooked food the next day, so good and delicious Will definitely come again

Neat place, nice room, clean, good bed, lovely bed covers, nice & clean bathroom. So everything should be perfect, right? Unfortunately not quite. The floors were so creaky that you woke up if someone moved around. It’s a really an annoying sound, and it’s very loud - at least in room 3 of Malling Kro.

Have just been on an extended weekend at Malling Kro. It is highly recommended. A fantastically good atmosphere - you really feel welcome. Calm atmosphere - top service. The food is super delicious. Very nice room we stayed in. The inn is located directly opposite the Light Rail, which runs to Aarhus in half an hour. We will definitely come again another time. Thanks to Mie, Nikolaj and Peter for perfect service.

This restaurant should be among the best rated in the area because of the fantastic exiting and beautiful food and the kind and worldclass service. The products used in the kitchen are local and fresh. The Chef very often comes to the table and introduces the food himself. I can't recommend this place enough❤️

We had booked a combined 3 course dinner and room via a deal site. The service at this family owned inn is great with a close to homely feel to it.
The dinner was good, without being outstanding. Great snacks, an appetizer with taste, a pretty good entree, and a good dessert. Way above average, but not star-class quality. However, the wine list is amazing with more than 1200 wines (including some of the very best houses in the world), and that is actually, what makes this restaurant stand out.
Had I only to review the restaurant this would have been a 4 star review. However, the rooms are disappointing, including the beds, and especially on a hot June night we missed out on aircon.
All in all: Definetely recommendable for dining, but not sleeping.

Our room, though a bit small, was beautifully updated. However, the rooms are upstairs, so it should not be recommended for people with mobility problems. The hotel is across the street from the train station, so it would be very convenient for travelers without a car. It also was near a supermarket and two pizzerias. Malling is a cute town with a beautiful park area and lovely walks. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, but not free. This has an acclaimed gourmet restaurant. We never ate there but heard several good reports.
