We stayed here for 2 nights, and loved the place, we chose this over Villa Blanca and just paid for a taxi to take u up to Villa Blanca to do the hike, which is worth it. The accommodation is perfect, really modern with some lovely features, the view is to die for as you look out over the valley....

Thank you so much for your kind comments. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us. Just so you know, we highly recommend a similar hike in the Valley of the Quetzals, where the Resplendent Quetzal may be spotted between February and June. It is very beautiful cloud forest and an easy trail. Please come back and stay...

We had arrived from Canada to San Jose near 9:15 pm and by the time we got to San Ramon is was 11:30 pm. They will need to know if you plan to arrive later than 9 pm. After waking up the host, we were shown to our room which was quite nice. Breakfast was served to all the guests...

This was a lovely little B&B to kick start our Costa Rican tour. Helen was very accommodating and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. A wonderful breakfast the next day and Helen looked mortified when she found out my husband didn't eat eggs after she had served them! (My stupid husbands fault not hers!) Reason for a 4 not...

Thanks so much for your comments. I'm happy you enjoyed your stay at Casa Amanecer and also appreciate your concerns regarding the shower head and the smell from the bathroom sink drain. I must say, the first time I visited Costa Rica, I was very concerned with these "duchas" as well and the way they were wired. I had seen...

Our first stop in our Costa Rica trip could not have been better!! This B&B has it all: beautiful views, rustic rooms, decorated with beautiful taste and a wonderful staff, Helen could not have been more attentive, accommodating, welcoming and offering great suggestions for surrounding activities and local eateries. I want to particularly stress how responsive she was to my...

The place lived up to expectations. A quaint boutique bed and breakfast experience in an amazing locale laden with great views of the forest at a distance. Great sunrise views that you cannot miss if you wake up in time for it. The property itself has a nice lawn shared by the guests where you cannot avoid watching humming birds...

I am just not as enthusiastic about this B&B as previous writers. It had a lot to commend it, but enough issues that I would probably not go back. Pros: Helena, who is the manager not the owner, was a gem. She made us feel welcome and was very gracious. The home is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. Breakfast...

We spent our first night of our 7 night stay at Casa Amanacer. We chose to pick a place to stay that would get us farther from the airport so we'd have more time to get to seeing the country the next day. It is about 45 minutes from the airport. We did use GPS to get there and our...

We spent the first night of our two week holiday in Costa Rica at Casa Amanecer and we couldn't have asked for a better start to the holiday. Driving to the property in the dark and the rain we wondered if we shouldn't have stayed at a hotel near the airport, but the welcome we received from Helena and her...

This was our first stay at a B&B. It is just outside of San Ramon easy to find with Waze. A 45 minute drive from the San Jose airport. The hostess made us feel very welcome - like an aunt. She cooked a wonderful breakfast and arranged our coffee tour. The gardens were full of butterflies and hummingbirds. We loved...
