This hotel is really nice. It is placed near the canal, with a good view, very beautiful. The staff are helpful and good at service. The food is excellent. I recommend it and want to come back some time.

We stayed one night while visiting Alsace at Easter. We had a "big" family room which had a double bed in 1 room and a pull out sofa in the entrance. Once the sofa was open, you could barely walk in the room anymore. Same in the main bedroom: it's very difficult to walk around the bed. Otherwise, everything was... More

We stayed in room nr 1. Which seems to have been recently updated. ! bathroom with sink and shower near the entrance of the room, where you could also find a futon. (where our 4 year old daughter would sleep). In the master bedroom you find a small restroom with toilet. We have booked a superior room, but it was... More

For us it was just a stop over in our journey back to UK, but we found a really warm welcome and an amazing dinner (we booked the regional menu, highly recommended!). The room was clean and very well furnished, and there was no problem dealing with the staff in English

Good view, calm, Cozy, friendly staff, and good food. We were recommended to stay in this hotel by friends and it was great. We stayed last November and found the hotel to be great in terms of the food and staff. Location is very good too. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

We received a very warm welcome here after a 22 ml walk carrying our back-packs.Our room was spacious with a well-equipped bathroom. The four others in our group foolishly shared a family room so had only one bathroom. We didn`t dine in the hotel as we fancied walking into the little town. Breakfast was excellent with homemade croissants and pain chocolat;... More

The hotel stands alone up the hill, a few hundred metres from the centre of this small and charming town. We were welcomed by a pleasant, friendly receptionist who did her best to cope with our limited French. The ground floor area was clean and attractive. Our room was large and well furnished. The bathroom was adequate but with a... More

Splendid hotel. Reasonably priced. Very friendly food. Spacious and modern rooms. Delicious cooking. Really nothing to complain about during our one night stay in June 2012.

The Hotel Marchal has a beautiful setting up in the mountains to the southwest of Strasbourg. The rooms are fairly standard (which is to say, smallish - though the bathroom in our room at least was quite large with very modern fixtures) and our family of two adults and two kids was a bit crammed. But everything was clean and... More
