We used Aux Ducs de Lorraine as a one night hotel on our way to Italy, and although the hotel is perfectly situated near Riquewihr (do visit this town!), it is in dire need of a thorough renovation. The rooms are OK sizewise, the beds are good, but the overall quality & finish of the room & the bath room... More

Walk around in the wine fields only 100 metres from the hotel. The hotel has an excellent restaurant with an interesting menu card. Possibility of buying bottles of red and white wine agains an excellent price. The ambiance is very friendly, typically for a family runned hotel.

3 friends, one room, perfect weekend. Great wine degustation down the road, another restaurant of equal rating available a stone's throw away, and lots of picturesque gingerbread houses to take pics of.

Positive first: we enjoyed an excellent dinner in the hotel's restaurant. Our room was quite spacious. We were lucky that it went out on the east side of the hotel, that is the opposite side of where the street is. The bed was very comfortable. I slept like a log. The room was last renovated in the 1970s, and so... More

The hotel has great location, but the decor is very dated. Breakfast is priced too expensive relative to a variety of foods. One night we locked outsidethe hotel because we have forgotten the code to the door and no one answered the emergency phone installed on the door. Only 40 minutes later, we were able to get in with another... More

Peacefull and nice surroundings of Alsace, good french food. On the Route du vin. Very nice people in village. You can buy vine directly from the caves in the village. Recommended food in hotel: lapin avec moutarde, coq au riesling. Tastefull and very nicely served with care and decoration! For the dessert try: profiterole!

We stayed for three nights in a nice - if a bit tired - room with a GLORIOUS view and balcony overlooking vineyard. Fair price for what we had. Disappointed with restaurant though I have to admit. I don't mind paying top dollar if a restaurant offers good choice and great food. Nothing really wrong with the food BUT why... More

The hotel is situated in St. Hippolyte on Route du Vin. It is a good place to stay if you want to explore the surroundings. On the other hand this hotel has a very poor bathroom, hardly up to date, if you choose a standard room. And the rooms have no mini bar. There is a fine balcony.

We had a nice stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful, and even spoke English. We didn't eat here but the dining room looked really pretty. The hotel is clean and comfortable. We had a large triple room, which was really large and overlooked the street and across the vineyards.... beautiful view. The hotel is within walking distance of... More
