If you are tired of the normal "en-route hotel" fare, this hotel is worth a try. Very much in the style of a chateau, it is centrally located in Tournus (very pretty and on the Rhone), close to quite a variety of restaurants and only minutes from the A6 motorway exit. It is next door to the Michelin-rated Restaurant of...

Only a few minutes from the auto route. Parking to the front of the hotel in a quite PRIVATE courtyard. As we pulled a man appeared with a trolley to help with the luggage. We had a room on the 3rd floor Huge bed, Bathroom had a lovely large shower. Breakfast in the rear courtyard was excellent I would 100%...

Impeccable position, comfortable rooms, welcoming staff. . The courtyard in front gives secure parking and freedom from noise, whilst the magnificent Abbey is across the lane at the back. We had the added bonus of an organ and violin concert for our overnight stay. Tournus itself is a bit Cotswoldian - antique shops, art galleries, souvenirs - but has excellent...

Well done TA for pointing us to this gem. I am beginning to wonder why we have always zipped past the exit to Tournus having now visited the town and this hotel. Only a couple of minutes from the exit and easy to find. Having pulled into the car park (hardly the right word) we were still thinking about what...

This is the third time we have used this hotel as a stopover en route to the south of France. Tournus is just off the motorway. The hotel is set back from the main road and has lots of parking. The hotel rooms are quiet and very comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very good value for money. I...

Old style hotel set back from a busy road but protected from noise by a large courtyard and double glazing. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Bathrooms are excellent and the beds and pillows top quality. Staff are attentive (when they come outside in the rain to help you with your bag it's a good sign!)m and breakfast was fine....

The hotel was quiet between seasons but the staff on duty were very friendly and our bedroom at the rear of the hotel overlooked the Abbey. In summer there is a delightful terrace for pre dinner drinks. The bedrooms are well appointed and the breakfast was adequate My only complaint was the poor coffee served which had been prepared at an...

We stayed here for 1 night when travelling from Spain to UK. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was wonderful. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The town is worth a walk around also. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

I have not stayed here for a few years and was delighted to find that it had not lost any of it's charm. There is a very secure car park in front and it is very likely that someone will meet you with a luggage trolley before you have finished parking. The hotel is in a charming old property and...
