Some places are better than billed - this is one of them. The baths (vaulted medieval bath house) forms one wing of a courtyard with the rooms and breakfast area above. Other rooms are on the other side. I could have stayed a week here rather than the 2 nights I was there. The proprietor is friendly and attentive and... More

My husband and I had a wonderful 2 night stay here while we visiting Provins. La Demeure was like a quiet, spa-like oasis after a day of walking all over the cute town of Provins. It is perfectly located between the old city and the new. Walk 100 yards out the gate and decide if you want to turn left... More

I was very disappointed. I booked directly for 2 nights in September (170 euros per night for 2 adults) and paid 100 euros deposit. Most of the property looks beautiful including the lovely breakfast room and breakfast terrace. We enjoyed breakfast on the covered terrace overlooking the lovely gardens. BUT, the property is built on a hill and has several parts.The... More

A friend recommended this accomodation. It is located in a unique heritage site, a bit hard to find and it takes some skills to enter the property through the gate that is just wide enough for a bigger car te enter. But once you are in, the welcome is great. Our suite was great, a big king bed which is... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our first trip together. Could not have asked for a better experience. The owner picked us up at the train station and dropped us for at the end of our stay in a real-life VW bug. The hotel itself is a massive gorgeous chateau. The room was beyond magnificent with a giant bed,... More

This hotel offers parking within the hotel courtyard, where your car can remain untouched for your stay in Provins as all the attractions are within walking distance. There are 4 different rooms available all with different unique features. Our apartment was in the 12th century building, up a spiral staircase, with 2 bathrooms - one with a multidirectional shower, the... More

What a lovely place to stay, the bedroom was warm and comfortable (important as it was pouring with rain and cold when we arrived), the bathroom was fantastic with a slipper bath and a shower that did everything, and the owner was charming. The gardens looked lovely - on another day perhaps when it is warm and sunny, and the... More

Unique experience staying in this medieval building with 5 star modern comforts. Great attention to detail. Veronique is a very welcoming hostess and goes to great efforts to make you feel at home. Wonderful grounds and a great base from which to explore this unspoilt town.

A quiet oasis in the centre of Provins (UNESCO listed town) this lovely listed building situated in a picturesque garden.A good base for exploring the old town, do walk the town walls. Secure parking, large room, comfortable bed and good but complicated shower. Veronique the owner showed us around and gave us a town map etc. A satisfactory breakfast, nice... More

Staying in the Flemish suite is like living in your personal medieval Chateau. The garden is impeccably kept and just incredibly beautiful. The UNESCO listed historical houst has been made so very comfortable by Veronique, the proprietor, guardian, and hostess. She serves the tastiest bread for breakfast, along with the uniquely Provinsian rose preserve/jam. You can walk to all the... More
