The Sorrento Hotel is just a few short blocks east of Interstate 5 in Seattle's historic First Hill neighborhood. Calling itself the "city's first boutique hotel", the Sorrento opened its doors way back in 1909. Built in the Italian renaissance style, the 7 storey hotel contains 76 deluxe rooms and suites, no two of which are alike. Old world charm...

Beautiful old hotel, close to hospital, close to city center, but somehow I just can't see returning. The room was comfortable, smallish, and the bed was extra comfie. The valets were super, fast, etc., although parking was ridiculous ($30+) At check in, there was a definite and direct upsell attempt (really -- at 11pm!) and from the limited hours of...

Dear Mrs. Purse, I would like to thank you for taking the time to post a review from your recent visit and sincerely apologize for my staff's lack of hospitality. As you can see by the other reviews, we normally have very high standards and pride ourselves on our customer service. I am extremely disappointed that we did not exceed...

We had a fabulous stay (2 nights) at the Sorrento. The room was fantastic, service was great, staff was very friendly & helpful. The complimentary shuttle to various downtown locations was always available within 10 minutes.

Booked online and believe me the website looks much better than the hotel actually is. The Sorrento staff went out of their way to provide excellent service, but we were somewhat disappointed with what the hotel had to offer. For one, as shown on the website, there is a rooftop bar/lounge with a great view. Not entirely true, this is...

We stayed for two nights in May 2012. I was thoroughly impressed with this hotel. The rooms were very nice and comfortable, the staff (from the front desk, concierge, waiters, etc) were all delightful to deal with. While it is not directly in the downtown area, the hotel will take you anywhere you want to go within 2 miles of...

An excellent, old fashioned hotel. Super valets. We arrived on motorcycles and they walked us to and from the garage each time we needed the bikes and had the hotel's car available for us when we need that. Hats off to these guys. The rest of the staff certainly was not far behind. We enjoyed the dark calm of the...

Stayed 2 nights in May. Lovely hotel in a decent location - everything within walking distance or you have the option of being driven short distances (free of charge) in one of the hotel's cars. Loved the wood pannelled bar just off the main reception - nice atmosphere. Helpful, freindly staff throughout the hotel, very comfortable, spacious airy rooms. Good...

I was here in May of 2012, and stayed for four nights. It was a great stay! My king size bed was so incredibly comfortable and inviting, the hotel was nice and tidy. The hotel reminded me of old 1920's, and it was richly decorated to give one that impression. Everything was well manicured and cared for. The check in...

Thanks you so much for taking the time to share your extensive thoughts on your recent experience with us. I did note your comments about the parking fee's and with our location in an urban area, the landlords who own the lots realize that there is a captive audience for parking. We do not have the ability to determine the...

I really can't say enough about how pleasant my stay at the Sorrento was. It's a grand old hotel with a fancy ambience and an upscale restaurant but I was there for the proximity to the hospital and the value. I was dressed very casually and was a bit needy but my every wish was treated with extreme courtesy and...

We stayed at the Sorrento for one night. We loved the location and surrounding area and the closeness to great restaurants. The original wood paneling and traditional decor was very tasteful and comfortable. The rooms and bed were very comfortable with great bed linens. It seemed as though it recently had been renovated as the bathroom was very nice with...
