We really enjoyed our stay at The Historic Anchorage Hotel. The staff were friendly on check-in and check-out. The room was a great size and bed was very comfy. Nice buffet breakfast. Good location for down-town. I would return.

We stayed in the Historic Anchorage Hotel for two nights before travelling to Whittier to do an Alaskan Cruise. I really liked this hotel – our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel was built in 1916 and still retains some of its original charm. The lobby is very quaint. The hotel is centrally located (Anchorage is not a...

Within easy walking distance to the Anchorage Train station and many great downtown resturants. Adjacent to the downtown Anchorage Hilton. We had a clean, comfortable room. It has no air-conditioning, but if the room is stuffy, open the window and run the fan and it is fresh and comfortable in very little time. The price was reasonable for its location....

Not a pretty city and it all seems to be a bit worn down. This includes the Historic Anchorage Hotel. Staff were nice enough but the room was just adequate. Old, but not in a quaint way. Old in a worn out way. I was happy we only had to stay one night. To be fair, nothing else that we...

This is a lovely historic hotel and therefore not super-modern and there were some foibles in the plumbing and electrics commensurate with its age. The room was very clean and an adequate size. There is a free breakfast included and free wi-fi which works with varying degrees of success. I stayed on 2 separate occasions before and after a trip...

I wish we had time to spend more time in the room because it was L shaped and had lots of space for spreading out, including a sitting area, a small kitchenette and places for our bags. Breakfast was adequate and we definitely would return to this hotel. We walked to a lot of sites from the hotel, even though...

We prefer to stay at some of the older character hotels when travelling and this did not disappoint. Fantastic location with a historic air to the lobby, bar (breakfast service only) and hallways. Rooms were fine but would recommend upgrading to a suite for a little more room if travelling with lots of luggage. We were travelling with others who...

Pleasant stay at the Historic Anchorage Hotel. Our room was large and clean but plumbing and electrics a bit out of date. Ideally situated within walking distance of shopping and restaurants on 5th and 6th Avenues. No hotel parking but offer a $10/day parking permit at nearby open car park. Could save money if prepared to move the car around...

We recently stayed in this lovely hotel for two nights before departing on a month long cruise. The hotel is attractive, clean, and well kept. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. You can’t beat the location downtown with lots of things to do and very good places to eat all within a few blocks of easy walking. Since we...

Pretty disappointed in our stay. The room was sufficient but the whole place is pretty outdated. The location on the other hand was fantastic. Close to all the major things you require especially the visitors centre. Most things were walking distance. The room was far too hot. No Aircon and only a fan and the window made for very uncomfortable...
