I booked this motel (2 rooms) several months prior to our arrival date of August 7th. I spoke to the manager Dan several times giving him our confirmation number as I had an uneasy feeling about this booking as there were four of us that would be arriving on the 7th for a week of fishing in the Kenai. Upon...

It was clean. Was quite dated in rooms and furnishings. No elevator. Was about the cheapest motel in the area. We are retired and on limited income. Guess u get what u pay for. All in all, we managed. The shuttle service costs us $10 (plus tip) every time we wanted to go somewhere, even just trips of a few...

We stayed one night just as a stopping place after our flight and before starting our drive. For one night and for the price it was tolerable. The only nice thing I can say is they had a free shuttle that picked us up promptly from the airport. The not so nice things are that it is not in the...

We stayed here because of the price, you get what you pay for. Entire hotel smelled like smoke when it was supposed to be smoke free. We got the "suite" and that was scary enough. I can't even imagine what the other rooms looked like. Beware where you stand here the cops were here several times and we did not...

The Econo Inn is average at best but it has a few good qualities that make your stay worth it. Being directly anchorage downtown during the summer is #1. The next best thing is the cost and cleanliness of the Inn. The view of the Inn from the outside proves that not everything is what it seems because the rooms...

I don't know how I missed reading the reviews of this dump, but I have learnt my lesson - do lots of research in future! Rabbit warren of rooms and corridors, dark and dingy, fan provided, but no airconditioning. Found out after I checked in that there would be no breakfast so hiked two blocks through a most insalubrious area...

I needed a place to stay overnight on my recent trip to Anchorage. Could not find any other place available in town around that time. The room was not well-lit and the carpet was stained. The room smelt of smoke, although a sign in the room said 'non-smoking'. I woke up to indect bites half way through the night. The...

Literally every surface was covered with signs of drug use. All the walls were cheaply plastered back together, was missing most the light bulbs, crackheads arguing all night long. What a crazy experience. It was a total flop house. We braved two nights, my buddy had the other bed, left with tons of bed bug bites, Did manage to get...

The hotel felt unsafe, we were met by a prostitute in the lobby, and there were two half naked women sleeping on a mattress on the floor of the maintenance room on the second floor down the hall from our room, visible to anyone who walked by because the door was propped open wide. If we hadn't arrived at 1:00...
