We've stayed here a number of times in the past and always found the hotel a convenient place to stay. The rooms are small and plainly decorated but the bed is comfortable and there is everything you need particularly for a short stay. The hotel has now been taken over by the owners of the Hotel Caudron and Reception is...

Two senior couples spent two nights at Hotel de la Gare. A very typical, family run small hotel. Everything we wanted was at hand, very friendly and convivial owners and staff, excellent breakfast (continental, not egg and bacon!) very good local cuisine served in the restaurant and a cosy bar with good draught beer. Rue is quite a small town...

Very clean and friendly small hotel in centre of town. Good breakfast choice and dinner if required. Also pet friendly as having a (well behaved) cat in the room caused them no problems. Room and shower room lovely and warm on cold winter night.

This is a really nice small hotel in the north of France, not far off the A16 Calais - Paris autoroute. It is the Hotel de la Gare, 13, Rue Gaston Garry, Rue. As ever the Google map is not very helpful, so find the level crossing in the centre of Rue, the railway station is just north of the...

Travelling up to towards Calais after a level holiday in deux sevres I wanted just one last good lunch.just before lunchtime discovered st Valerie sur somme ~ a host of interesting menus but just a bit too touristy and would have had to extend parking meter ticket! Decided to move on and to try to find a village restaurant somewhere...

“The hotel rooms are on two floors so first floor is easier to access.”

“Rooms at the front and back were overall very quiet. Occasional dog barking in the early morning or the dustcart arriving are, I feel, part of town noises and have to be accepted. Otherwise we found it very peaceful.”
