What a lovely place - perfect gardens in an area dedicated to, and surrounded by, vineyards. There are two first-rate tasting halls, at very reasonable prices - one for 5 Euros including a Chateau glass and 12 different estate wines, and the other even more extensive. The room we had was in the 'dependence', an old stable block beautifully reconditioned,...

I love the chateau, proximity to the vineyards, and its grounds & gardens - but why build an adjacent contemporary structure offering more affordable rooms on the grounds of this historic chateau that detract from the sense of place? The on-site wine tasting facility is very well appointed, offering excellent local choices.

We loved our stay, but it comes with a cost... The restaurant was great though and food amazing. On the + sides: nice spa + pool, good breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice, the grounds of the castle and tranquility. On the -: rooms in the seperate bit need renovating as a bit "club med" like. No staff to take...

On arrival at the Chateau de Pizay it appears to be a very professional and well run establishment. The grounds are very impressive, there are well laid and clean roads and ample car parking. We were very excited to have arrived. The check-in was easy and we were shown to a very nice duplex room. We took our dogs for...

Great location amidst the vineyards. Very quiet place not far away from the A6 motorway. The gastronomic restaurant offers value for money and a very kind service (although a bit slow on dessert). Breakfast however is not at the appropriate level when compared to the rest.

I had the privilege...

A very romantic stay in a spectacular setting. We had a large modern apartment with the bedroom on a mezzanine level overlooking the lounge area & vineyard beyond the pool. Great big bathroom & huge room. Bed was really comfortable & everything we needed was there. Pulling up to Chateau de Pizay was breathtaking (particularly as hubby surprised me). Walking...

A beautiful converted chateau with high class facilities and spacious well maintained grounds. My room was split level with a bed upstairs and a lounge and bathroom downstairs. Not ideal if you don't like stairs. The food was good and well presented but the waiters were uncooperative when members of our party asked to have tables moved minimally so they...

I booked 3 months in advance for a special family occasion at a high price (400 euros per room x2). A month before the stay, we asked for a lunch reservation and we were told the restaurant was closed. Then that it was full. My mother is elderly so it was really an issue to have to go to a...
