The couple/family who runs the hotel and restaurant clearly cares. This was my second time staying in the hotel. It is nothing fancy - it is quite simple actually. The rooms are clean and the proximity to Lassen Volcanic Park is unmatched. The store and restaurant on site are very good. The hotel also has a very cool bar!

Chose this place because it was all we could find near Lassen Volcano National Park. Would love to go back to the park, but not if we have to stay here. Outdated, cramped, "felt" dirty. Restaurant next door was good. This is definitely a last resort if you HAVE to have a place to sleep. Did not have bugs and... More

We stopped by the lodge for lunch on our way to the national park. The staff was friendly and service was fast. I had the fried chicken which was good and had two sides. My kids got sandwiches which they ate everything. Great stop on the way.

We stayed here for a few nights while we visited Lassen Volcanic National Park. A previous reviewer noted correctly that this is one step up from a cabin, and if that is your expectation then you will not be disappointed. The main negative for my wife and I was the attitude of some, not all, of the staff. The male... More

We stayed here four nights so that we would have plenty of time to visit the nearby national park. We had a room with a king bed in what I'm assuming was the older part of the motel. While not really large, I think this room had more space than the rooms with two beds. You cannot drive up to... More

It won't let me select my actual dates, but we stayed in early July 2014 and 2015. My young children and I love staying here. We have done everything from simply fixing cereal to cooking a full dinner in our rooms. We love the proximity to the national park. It reminds me of staying in cabins at Big Sur. My... More

We stayed here with our two boys on a trip to Lassen volcano. In researching hotels in the area, this has seemed pretty decent from the reviews. However when we arrived, I was not sure it was the same place I had read about. It is pretty run-down and a little scary from the road. What appears to be the... More

We stayed here 1 night this September so wouldn't have to commute so far to hike for 2 days in Lassen Volcanic National Park. For a little over $100/night we got a room in the "newer" section (1970s?) that was clean and had 2 comfortable queen beds, two tables and 4 chairs, and a decent size little refrigerator. Also a... If you are going to spend any time at all in Lassen Volcanic Park, the Mineral Lodge is the place to stay for being so close to the southwest entrance to the park. We spent a total of three nights at the Lodge, two nights in a room with one bed and one night in the two-bed room. Our recommendation... More

Motorcycle event took us to this eatery. Seated wherever we wanted, very friendly staff who took our drink orders right away. We beat the majority of our members, With only a four person party ahead of us. Our party, of 3, quickly ordered 2 hamburgers and one chicken finger for my buddy's daughter. We also ordered the deep fried Brussel... More
