We arrived late in the evening and we were very happy to tuck into the plate of supper the staff had put back for us before we were shown to our room. The room was just what you want, big comfy bed, Aircon and a ceiling fan if you're not keen on AC and I good sized shower

We had a pool view room which in turn looked out to sea, as the hotel was winding down for the season and was only about half full it was like having a private pool most of the time. The sun loungers were high quality, comfy and plentiful. Pool bar was a bit on the pricey side but it's what you expect from a hotel.

We were staying on a B&B basis and the breakfast was good but much variety from day to day, breakfast omelettes made to order were very good

The stand out feature of this hotel is the staff, every single one couldn't do enough to help and were always smiling

This was my first solo trip and first time flying aboard In years, booked the holiday via jet two arrived in Crete and transferred to Vasia sea retreat hotel. The staff there are incredible nothing but polite, helpful and genuinely care about you and your stay if I had a worry or a concern felt comfortable enough to go on my own and address it. I have extremely high anxiety and did this trip to prove something to myself and not once was I made to uncomfortably by staff.

I was upgraded for free to a sea view room which was beautiful, air con in the rooms bed comfy shower and well looked after, there’s nextflix and YouTube and prime on the tv so you can catch up on a any faves during the night water is replenished daily.

I was on a half board, at the moment it’s that it bed and breakfast maybe once the hotel gets a bit more bigger full board may be an option I was happy with half board, I’m not a picky eater but there was a wide range of foods to choose from, you can always choose of the menu and head to the snack bar by the pool for any food and drinks throughout the day.

Beach is exactly 8min walk so it’s nice to go to id suggest getting there for 9.:30 if you want a sun lounge as there isn’t many when handing out, the local supermarket is about a 2min walk from the beach and local restaurants.

Any excursions or local diamond spots anyone at the hotel can recommend and book for you if you ask how.

All in round as my first solo trip it was an amazing experience and will definitely coming again next year and recommend family and friends.

Love room 311

Just had a wonderful week at this lovely hotel. The staff are very friendly and very willing to help and the buildings and grounds are immaculate. The three pools are well kept and as it was very quiet during our stay, sunbeds very plentiful. Breakfast was good, eggs cooked to order and a substantial buffet.
As mentioned by others, the rooms are strange. Very small, washbasin in the room, very little storage and the bathroom door is a shower door with no lock. Definitely style over substance! However the rooms are spotlessly clean and serviced every day although our coffee and tea was not always replenished. Our ceiling fan did not work and although somebody came to look at it, it was never fixed. These niggles and the lack of storage are the reason I have only given four out of five for an otherwise near perfect hotel.

As our flight was delyaed we arrived late to the hotel and were welcomed with complimentry prosecco and a lovely meal. From our first to last day everything was lovely. Staff very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, service in all areas was excellent. The location was great, close to the town which a busy little place with plenty of places to eat, local supermarkets and other facilities.
Rooms were serviced each day, towels, bed changed every other day and fresh bottled water in the rooms each day. We visited all 3 pools and never had a problem getting a sunbed.
We were half board; meal choices were good for us, always found something. We also used complimentry transport and visited sister hotel in Malia with Zephyros beach which was lovely.
Very peaceful relaxing place. If we come back to Sisi we would stay here again.

I’m here on day 5 of a 7 day break with my husband and I thought I’d write a quick review as I usually forget once I get home!
This is a lovely hotel for a simple, good quality place to relax - which is what we needed.
A great location next to the ocean, and our west facing sea view room was well worth paying a little extra for.
Rooms are new and very modern, but a wee bit on the spartan side re: comfort (no headboard to relax against or a soft chair in the room), but have everything you need and beds, linens, towels are good quality and refreshed regularly.
We chose half board as it was good value with our Jet2 package. Breakfast buffet has plenty of choice, but is much the same each day. You can get freshly cooked eggs.
We liked that dinner was a la carte, and there was just enough choice for one week, however to be honest we probably preferred the lunch/snack menu from the pool bar.
Sunbeds are incredibly comfortable!
Main pool just big enough for a decent swim and two smaller pools are nice to sit beside and cool off in.
Gardens are beautiful and the housekeeping and maintenance team work tirelessly to keep everything very clean. This comes with one downside, though (and the reason for my 4 stars and not 5) - they start work very early and can be quite noisy, meaning we struggled to get a lie in during our holiday.
As other reviewers have said, the staff are lovely and it’s a small hotel, which is quite nice.
If you want a bar/lounge in the evenings or any entertainment, I think it’s possible to go to the other Vasia hotel nearby. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars in the village

We spent a wonderfully relaxing 2 weeks here in May and would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and always made us feel very welcome. There were plenty of very comfortable sun beds around all the pool areas and the large pool was great for a good swim. I don’t think that anyone could complain about the food which was served by lovely, smiling, efficient staff. Our room (316) was very comfortable and was cleaned daily by pleasant, helpful ladies who went out of their way to replenish towels, coffee and water. The room fan was superb and we went to sleep at night listening to the sea. We left feeling incredibly relaxed and will definitely return to see Marius and his wonderful team. Efcharisto!

If yiu want a holuday away from the tourst crowds, this is the place for you. Sissi is a five minute walk away, and there is a free bus to a lovely beach in Malia, daily, but this hotel is very chilled. The staff, all of them, are very friendly, helpful and respectful, and this seems unusual so near to the end of the season.
It is now an 'adults only' hotel which makes the experience even more relaxing.
The rooms are clean, the towels are thick (also ones specifically for the pool) showers are efficient.
The only drawback was that the wifi was temperamental in the room, but not outside it.
All in all, a lovely relaxing experience thanks to the lovely hotel staff.

Just finishing off a ten day stay here and what a fabulous time we have had. We were a bit anxious on arrival as it was under going a refurbishment to an adult only complex, but not a sign of the work in progress, when we arrived and what a lovely hotel this is. Rooms are good, all air conditioned, we had a seaview, pool view and morning sunrise. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, with lots of recommendations on where to go and what to do, found us some amazing beaches. We went half board, so food was important and it didn't let us down with a really good variety of choice and all delicious, although it could have offered more seafood. The place is very clean and well maintained, the room service was excellent with our linen and towels changed every two days, they also provided us with pool towels. Pool was clean with very comfy hard wood sun loungers and mattresses. Situated on the outskirts of town, with a five minute walk to the centre, but far enough away not to hear the hullabaloo. Good facilities, with use of their sister Spa and Gym. Overall if you want a relaxing stay away to recharge your batteries, I highly recommend this hotel, it's not 5 star but then you're not paying 5 star prices. PS if you want to hire a car go to Ben's Car hire they have older cars but much more room to negotiate. Also Taverna Amelia is a great Family restaurant, great food and lots of fun.

Just returned from a wonderful 9 nights in this hotel. We had a very friendly welcome when arriving just before midnight. We were immediately presented with a glass of Prosecco and provided with food, even though we were only staying on a B&B basis. We were then shown to our room by the receptionist. We stayed in one of the inland view rooms. First impressions regarding the block were a bit disappointing due to quite tatty wooden stairs and balcony. It was quite clear that this block of rooms hadn’t been part of any modernising. Room was OK though with a very comfortable bed. Towels also good quality and everything very clean. Stayed first week in October and hotel was very quiet and relaxing. Not many people around pool. Sun beds were the best we have ever experienced at a hotel. Made out of solid wood with very chunky cushions. Pool bar open during the day but we thought prices were a bit steep. The best thing overall though were the staff. Everybody was so friendly and helpful. I couldn’t fault any of them.

I've been here before 5 years ago and sinds then none of the staff changed. Still the kindest and friendliest people ever. After only 4 days most of them knew our order before we even asked, every morning when we walked in the breakfast buffet one of the employees immediately got us our orange juices.
The renovation has been done very well so that the rooms look even more comforting and spacious.
There were many beds at the pool which ment no matter when you arrived there was always a place for you to lay down and relax. Even with some of the crazy guest that tried to "reserve" a bed with there towels.
No kids and adult only so the relaxing part of a sun vacation is the best you'll ever get!
(tip; ask them if you can rent a quad bike ~ you can drive around Sissi all day and experience the most amazing views.)
