Hiked from Básar and encountered volcano huts on the way. Found out they sell beer, which was perfect in the sun and beautiful weather. Thomas and Sonja are friendly to meet in volcano huts and fit to their job :-)

We also found the sleeping area warm because the heater is in the bedroom area. Just shut the door to the kitchen area because that gets COLD. A liner I would think would be ok and if you do get cold add some of the layers... More

Sorry for my late reply! We took the 4x4 bus so I did not experience it with a car. And we passed the rivers when they were low. never the less we heard locals saying the last river is not safe to take by car. Especially... More
