We stayed at the campground for a few days, while we waited for our luggage to come in from Milan. It's true that the Wifi is for hotel guests only, but the owner/manager and the other stuff at the reception was so kind helpful; they really tried to help us out. I will be forever grateful to them. The food...

Flókalundur (if you are planning to spend some time in the west, something I highly recommend your accommodation choices are very limited. I camped in this town however there is also a motel you can stay in. I was lucky enough to get a clear night, my only clear night in Iceland I might add, and saw the Northern Lights...

Nestled by the water in the secluded Vatnsfjörður nature reserve, the seasonal Hotel Flókalundur's (open only from May to September) biggest attraction is its location. The hotel provides easy access to hiking trails in the nature reserve; the Westfjords’ winding southern coastline; and a free geothermal pool, Hellislaug, only a five-minute walk away. Moreover, sited at the intersection of two...

Great location to start your trip in the West Fjords. Old style pine wood rooms, very cozy and very clean. Restaurant has a nice menu and staff is friendly. Rich and tasty continental breakfast. The place is just few minutes away from on the best natural geothermal pool in the area.

We went on a two day trip (9-10 Aug) to the southern part of the West Fjords and the western peninsula by rental car. Coming from Reykjavik, we knew that we had to find a hotel somewhere in the area. The location of this hotel was perfect for us, as it allowed us to see the Dynjandi waterfalls and the...

After a long travelling day this hotel was perfectly situated for starting out touring the northwest fiords the next day. We arrived quite tired on the ferry from Stykkishholmur around 6pm. This hotel is about 5 minutes from the ferry terminal. The hotel has a restaurant and a gas pump. The hotel is quite basic but has all you need....

Couldn't recommend this hotel enough. It is absolutely amazing and it's located on the fjord with a stunning view. Great room with excellent facilities and everything was spotless. Very friendly staff and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing and would definitely go there again. The hotel has a small shop outside with all the essentials, a very necessary petrol pump and...

Although the rooms were rather small, the shower minuscule and the wi-fi spotty at best, this hotel was amazing! Beautifully located on the edge of the sea, the hotel offered stunning views, a football field (soccer), great places to stroll and just 400m away was a lovely natural hot spring. The hotel offered us robes and towels to walk over....
