The check in process is ridiculous if you need help. There's no staff and if you're lucky enough to find cleaning staff, they are super rude and unhelpful. The "customer service" number was not answered. Tried for 1.5 hours and nothing! Eventually another couple helped us navigate the process thank goodness otherwise we would have been sleeping in the lobby....

The hotel is self check-in/out, which suited us just fine. We had a double room with private bathroom. The TV was very small and only had a few channels. The bathroom was quite large relative to the size of the room but the light was on a motion detector and tended to turn itself off when in the shower. Breakfast...

We liked this hotel and the location was perfect for our trip. The hotel stands alone without anything nearby but you can drive to Vik which is about 20 mins. It was great to view stars and the Northern Lights. When you check-in you are self service which means there is no reception desk but you get a code for...

I loved the location, out away from the city, not a lot around. It's about 10 minutes from Skogafoss. There wasn't any staff available when we arrived, but there was an email sent out before my trip detailing the check in procedures and my room and key code. The room was great, very clean, and a beautiful view outside. We...

The place itself was really good looking but it was a little weird because there was no staff. Breakfast was not so amazing. And there was no dinner service. The outdoor hot tub was nice and warm! (Almost too warm?)

Booked this because of lovely pictures of building and location, which is all great. The booking confirmation said there is no reception desk but in fact there is no staff here at all and there is no one reachable. You have to check yourself in with some codes you get sent in an email weeks before (in our case these...

We stayed one night and first liked the entrance to the house, but then opened our room and the smell of someone beeing on the toilet came towards us and the whole room smelled like this the whole night. Not a very good sleep you can imagine.. Breakfast was simple and fine.

We booked this hotel mostly based on the photos and secluded location but were terribly disappointed with the service. It seems there is a family that runs this hotel, and I think they live down the road, so there is no on-site service but you can call them from the house phone if you need something. What's difficult with that...

We were introduced to this property by a tour guide 12 months ago and decided to return for two separate stays on our latest trip in December. This is a great property situated between the Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss Waterfalls. It is well off the highway, nestled in against the mountain range. The property is a two story log cabin. There...

Having stayed at the hotel's sister property, the Welcome Edinborg Guesthouse, we were entitled to breakfast at the Hotel Lambafell. The Lambafell is indicated to be in Skogar on TripAdvisor, the Edinborg in Eyvindarholar, but they're only 500 m apart. Any negative reviews for the Lambafell go double or triple for the Edinborg, the only bad stay we had in...
