It has been written already by many, but I can only confirm it. With a relatively small effort this place could become fantastic and worth its price. The location is ideal. The villa is wonderful. The garden, largely unused, has pine trees and well taken flower beds. Overall all the ingredients for a great hotel are present, therefore when one is asked for 140 Euros per night for a room with a shared bathroom one expects that this money will somehow return from a phenomenal breakfast or other sources. But that is not the case. The breakfast is only based on a croissant, jam, butter and some bread. There is not even some inexpensive cheese or an egg. The person taking care of it is very gentle, but clearly cannot take care of cleaning the tables outside, preparing the coffee and all the rest all alone, and also responsible of the administration. No wander that the place was largely empty even at the end of July. The feeling is really of a place where all the expenses are kept at their... More

The location could not be better - right outside the city walls of Sirolo, yet quiet and only walking distance to the restaurants and the local beach. Also the premises - a real Mansion set in a large garden! You cannot ask for more. The rooms are quite spaciouse, but need an urgent revamp; they are totally out of date and there is not even a vague idea of style - what a pitty given the the greating setting. Breakfast was poor at best, i.e. very "continental". For that price we decided to leave as soon as we found a better options ... and we found plenty of alternatives. Given the great location and the setting in which this villa is located, Villa Gigli has so much more potential than its current management makes of it. More
