I checked in to stay two nights. I cannot leave because I will be charged if I do. The view is fantastic. Come have a drink in their "American Bar" and stay somewhere else. The rooms are small. I managed to renegotiate and get a room with a bath tub which is a very difficult thing since they on,y have... More

Fantastic location with great views. The rooms were a little small but adequate. The actual place was interesting but inspite of allowing dogs, if booked in advance, the head waiter told us he would.nOt allow dogs in the dinning room. He was over ruled by the boss and then sat us off in a side alley and gave us the... More

I have known Hotel Monteconero since 1958 when my mother took us there as children. I have known 3 generations of the Melappioni family. They have never failed to be courteous, attentive and kind and have, over the years, become very special friends. There is a magic in the atmosphere there which in my opinion is unique. Of course the... More

The wooded grounds are lovely to stroll around and the little Romanesque church is gorgeous. The hotel is perfectly located for many of the walking and cycling trails in the area and the swimming pool is a definite plus. In terms of its external surroundings, this hotel is quite exceptional. We had asked for and were given a room with... More

This landmark hotel boasts an extraordinary location near the peak of the Cornero adjoining an abbey. Its grounds lead to trails with dramatic sea views (wear comfortable walking gear). It is clear however that the owners are not adequately investing to maintain the place. One notices walls are chipped, carpet edges torn and dirtied, and the facilities overall look very... More

Dear Mr Biernacki, Thank you for appreciating the extraordinary location of our hotel. However we are quite upset that, after your stay of 1 night in our hotel, you couldn’t appreciate all the efforts we constantly make to maintain this building ( an Abbey from the 14th Century) . Every year we re- paint walls and we renew furniture in... More

The hotel perches on top of a mountainous peninsula, overlooking the sea on both sides. Although the sea itself is not far away, it's a long way down a steep and winding road for which a car is more or less essential, so this is not the hotel to choose for a beach holiday. In the height of the summer... More

This one of our favourite places to stay in the world. You will always be made to feel very welcome and looked after. The hotel and it's surroundings are truly spectacular. Allow yourself to be guided in the restaurant to some stunning local wines. We never tire of staying here and we are never disappointed. The family and their staff... More

This hotel is on top of a small mountain, with fantastic views of the Adriatic and the Marche countryside. The rooms are comfortable, the food is excellent, and the staff are very helpful - and speak English! The building was once a monastery, the chapel is still there and the accommodation is partly in the old and partly in some new,... More

My husband surprised me with a sea view room booking as part of our Italian honeymoon. I was so excited! When we arrived after a 6 + hour drive our room was not a sea view but instead a country view and our terrace had a view of the sea. We asked for a sea view room and were shown... More

Dear Heidi, We apologise for your bad experience in our hotel, however we guarantee that we were seriously concerned about your spoken disappointment at your arrival, so that we gave you the possibility to choose your room, even if the hotel was fully booked. Both proposed rooms were sea view, as requested on your reservation. Particularly in one of the... More

Stayed here on a group booking deal and loved the place. The high and historic location of the hotel is what makes it so special. The swimming pool is really lovely, as is the courtyard and the bar/terrace (with wonderful views). The staff are superb, really excellent service, friendly and helpful. Food very good (enormous buffet for 1st course every... More
