I traveled to Richmond for the Richmond Marathon yesterday and stayed at the Diamond Inn and Suites. The facility is so so but okay for a one night stay when you are not going to spend much time in your room. The room smelled of old cigarettes, and was dingy. It felt dirty. There were two beds in the room...

We visited the diamond inn last month, when we walked into the room I thought ok I paid $70 ish it's not that bad, the shower and toilet were really clean, towers and soap were provided, however after getting into bed I found a cigarette burn in the mattress, and after two minutes of being in the hotel I'd managed...

I stayed at the Diamond in July of '15 and had a good experience. The room was clean, well maintained, and appointed. The location of this place can be best described as a "transitional" or kinda of sketchy; I wasn't scared but always on my toes and on the lookout. A good motel for the money in close proximity to...

Econo Lodge is now under new management and name changed to Diamond Inn. Looks like the rooms have been somewhat renovated inside and the room is heavily smells of some sorts spray deodorant. Kind of over powering. Room has frig. Small microwave, free internet and a nice flat screen tv. No breakfast in the morning just coffee served. As far...

Under new ownership by what appears to be an Indian family working together on this property. At this time, the entire property is under a complete renovation. They do seem to be trying pretty hard to upgrade this place and it appears to be an honest effort. I will admit that it's not a great place to stay right now,...

Had the hardest time finding a phone number for this place since it's not listed here. Since it's listed a Econo Lodge, a Choice Hotel, I called choice. They have no record of this hotel in their system. Ended up going to Yelp and found a phone number (804-353-1287), and they guy who answered the phone greeted "Thank you for...

If my mom and I had had time to read any reviews before arriving at Richmond, we would never have come to this dive. The rooms are utterly disgusting! Our door would barely close and couldn't keep the cold out, much less someone wanting to get in. There were burn holes in the bedding and carpet, threadbare curtains, and shredded...

I know its an econolodge and I am traveling on the cheap, but I think that this property is 98% used for public housing. I think that I am the only nightly paying customer here. Kind of explains the bunker mentality at the front desk, not to mention the spartan "breakfast"

Its the worst motel I have ever stayed. Front desk clerk can barely speak or understand english. Rooms werent ready even after 5 PM. And when I finally checked in after a long wait, they gave me a room with dirty sheets, sheets looked like they were never changed, mattress sunk in the middle, dirty bath tub, stinking carpet. That...
