Hotel - (1) - Location - excellent - 2 mins. to beach, and 10 mins. to shops.- (2) Upkeep & cleanliness - satisfactory. - (3) Bedroom - No. 117 - size was good; seating, writing and storage provision all good. - (4) Air conditioning - quiet, but even in October, we could not get the temperature low enough - (5) Bed was comfortable - (6) Facilities - indoor and large outdoor pools ; Private section of beach ( stoney ), which has life guard during peak summer months ; fitness room and massage facilities Food - Buffet style for breakfast and dinner. Soups were always hot and very tasty - unfortunately this could not be said for the other dishes. The food tended to be warm rather than hot. Out of 13 meals, only twice did they provide warm plates, hence, luke warm food on cold plates = poor eating experience. [ When we had meals outwith the hotel, there was no problem with the temperature of the food or lack of warm plates ] The quality appeared reasonable, but by the third day we could predict what would be on offer. ie the meals were boring if staying longer than 3 days.…
We visited this hotel and found the staff excellent. The food is buffet style and not as hot as we are used to but plenty of choice. The towels were replaced each day and beds changed twice during the week, although the floors were never hoovered or washed and no dusting. Very comfortable beds. It is a very pebbly and recommend buying a pair of beach shoes in the nearby town. It is very nice to walk along the promenade in the evening which has many nice local bars, all reasonable prices. I would recommend this hotel.
there is hardly anyone who speaks English so I asked a local to translate for the pool boy to open a parasol for me at 37C heat while i was there with two small kids on my own. he was so rude, when he didn't turn up after 10min, i went to look for him and he was just chilling and drinking water (clearly not busy). i asked again to please open a parasol, and he just made face and told me to slow down and then laughed at my face. i cannot believe his attitude, tbh all of his job consist of opening and closing parasols. They have no concept of customer service, i am just shocked how bad it was. It made me feel very uncomfortable and unpleasant. he looked about 16 years old, why would they employ someone so clueless it's beyond me.
Disappointed on all aspects and VERY POOR QUALITY PRICE RATIO. I suspect they only survive because they are on the main seaside promenade and have a swimming pool. In brief: They lost my reservation (i had the confirmation email). Booked room with a view... the view was on the gas station. Old rooms with old cheap and tasteless furniture. Many stains on the wall. Sink not clean. Breakfast with sea view over the swimming pool but everything is cheap: orange juice from concentrate, etc. Swimming pool NOT open before 9am so no early swim possible. POOR QUALITY PRICE RATIO. I paid 118e and i think it's worth 60-75e maximum.
My husband and I had room 103 which has a disabled adapted bathroom. There are adequate grabrails in the shower, a raised toilet and emergency buttons. The downside is that there is no shower stool/chair in the shower, only a toddler size stool, making the shower only suitable for those who can stand long enough to shower. We ended up using the plastic chair from the balcony for every shower. There are several lifts serving all floore but access to the pool area and beach promenade is only through the Spa area which is locked at 9pm. There are approx. 20 stairs at the front of the building with no handrail. There is a stairlift which apparentley as been out of action for most of the time since installation, 7 years ago according to amember of staff. Everytime we needed to access the front of the building for our coach trips, we had to wait for a staff member to take my husband down to the basement in the lift where access to the side of the building was via the garage or through the conferance rooms. The first time the doors from the conference rooms were blocked by tables and chairs . The garage had steel shutters that were opened by remote control.…
