My usual choice form a menu is a steak (unless there is goat)...simple. It is always cooked blue to rare without any of the usual frippery. High up in the mountains above Alora and El Chorro is the fabulous restaurant of Rocabella, run by a lovely German lady who is multi-lingual. The scenery as you eat is breath taking looking...

We happened to pass there and were very pleasantly surprised by the great food, the view and the English speaking owner. Even the menu was available in English, which is not often in less touristic Spanish areas and towns. The prices are very modest as well. I can't say anything about the hotel.

We first visited Finca Rocabella some 15 yrs ago and was pleasantly surprised by its charm and isolation. Since then we have visited Rocabella several times and have stayed in all but one of the properties. This even includes having ridden the motorbike from NW England down through France & Spain to have a week at Rocabella. We have just...

The villas at Finca Rocabella hold so much promise. The setting and views are amazing, though the roads to get to them are treacherous. The pool looks wonderful but it is freezing! We stayed with friends in Villa Lagar which has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room and kitchen. First impressions were very disappointing. The place is really dirty....

Great location about an hour into the hills behind Malaga. - a car is mandatory. The Finca is definitely 'out of the way' so keep this in mind....Antequera, El Chorro, Alora and the lakes (apart from road being closed that turns a 20min journey into an hour trek) all worth a visit....Córdoba, Ronda also worth visiting.... The villa and pool...

We hired car at Malaga airport (Malagacar.com), arrived on site on 11the May 2015 and stayed for 4 nights. We were originally booked to Villa La Solana on B&B basis through Booking.com but were advised by the owner before arrival that due to some unspecified problem with Solana accomodation we were rebooked to Villa Manzanila. We certainly did not regret...

Me and my friends had a great stay at Finca Rocabella! Villa Lagar was a huge and cosy house, with BBQ, hot tub, fire place and a pool. The prefect place to come home to after a day of climbing. Not least, the host was really helpful, if there was any problem. Highly recommended :)

We stayed four nights. The place is wonderful, the surroundings amazing and the owner was really nice. Everything we asked, we had it instantly. He advised us about where to go, what to do...as if we were family. I am willing to go during the summer and enjoy the wonderful swiming pool that the house had.

The area is beautiful but the accommodation neglected, sad and dreary, in need of a refurbishment & deep clean. We stayed at Manzanilla villa. I would not advise anyone stay here unless they were offered it half price. We booked a week but left early, the bed was old and every time you moved it squeaked. didnt have a decent night...

We have stayed in a number of villas now in various countries as we prefer a more quiet private peaceful family holiday. Finca Rocabella is perfect for this! We arrived on the 7th July 2014 and stayed in 2 different villas over 2 weeks. Firstly though a car is a must! We hired a 1.4 punto off malagacar.com and it...
