The front desk girl was super great. I forgot her name, but I know she was from Watertown Wisconsin. I also had a wonderful experience with the general manager Calvin Appleton.. Calvin was superb! I hope he gets a raise! Hyatt is lucky to have him. Also, the pool was excellent, the room was excellent, and the club lounge experience was top-notch! I can’t believe this is only a category three hotel. It should at least be a category six if not a seven!

As a frequent business traveler to Atlanta, I can honestly say that in terms of service and Southern hospitality, it just doesn't get any better than the staff at the Grand Hyatt. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping, as well as the restaurant and lounge staff takes great pride in insuring that when you leave you've truly had a 'Grand' experience. Rooms are some of the largest of any hotel (and I've stayed in quite a few over the last 4 years) in Atlanta, the facility is always in tip top shape, the staff is very attentive to guests if there's a problem, beds are extremely comfy and the hotel is very quiet, even though it fronts a major thoroughfare. The best part is the great location, within walking distance of some of Atlanta's best shopping at Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, as well as excellent restaurants (Ruth's Chris is right across the street). Plus, the hotel has a free shuttle to shops and restaurants in the Buckhead area. Needless to say, I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt.

This is an absolutely great hotel, but there were a couple of incidents that prevent me from giving it 5 stars.

First, I received an email from World of Hyatt reminding me that I had Lounge Access Awards that were expiring. So, since I would be traveling to Atlanta the next few weeks, I called to find out if the lounge at this property had reopened yet, and the WoH rep said she wasn't sure, but if it wasn't the hotel would provide a full breakfast on each morning of my stay if I wanted to use an award, so I said BOOK IT! However, when I reached the hotel I found that wasn't the case. They advised me that they would generally offer a $25 per day credit to elite members at my level, for drinks, snacks or small prepackaged refrigerated meals in the lobby bar, but not breakfast. Nevertheless, Michael, the front desk rep who checked me in, could clearly see that the award had been deducted and indicated the hotel would honor the breakfast offer, which they did.

The next day there was an internet outage that went on for about 4 hours and I had work to do. So I called the front desk and was told that they would send an engineer up, but after an hour (I was reading a report while waiting and lost track of time) no one had come, so I called again. This time I was simply connected to the help desk who told me that they were aware of the outage and working on it, but had no idea how long it would take to restore service. Unacceptable!! At that point, I had to dash out of the hotel to find a location (I ended up at the Caribou Coffee Shop across the street) with internet service because I needed to view several emails with attachments that I couldn't open on my phone and respond to my colleagues. When I returned to the hotel a couple hours later I had a message from JT, one of the Manager's, to give him a call, which I did and he was very apologetic and professional. However, I did tell him that I did not think I'd be returning anytime soon considering the two problems I had encountered.

But, excluding the problems I had, I will give credit where credit is due and say that the hotel is definitely 5 star in every way. It's clean, beds are comfy, daily room cleaning is still provided at the guests request with amenities replenished as needed and, for the most part, the staff is attentive and helpful. Kudos to Michael at the front desk, Larry in the Cassis Restaurant and JT for their attention to detail and professionalism throughout my stay.

My stay was August 8th and i went back and forth on whether i wanted to stay here, because of some of the recent bad reviews. Let me say this, none of those bad reviews happened during my stay! The property was clean! beautiful! and spacious! Its Located across the street from Intercontinental and Embassy suites, I did valet for $42/night, self parking isnt that far of a walk and its $32/night .To my knowledge there isnt any free street parking near by(i looked lol). There is also hand sanitizer in all the high traffic areas! They ask that u do wear a mask in the public areas. I love that they have kept their pool open even when most hotels have closed theres! I got up to swim early (pool hrs are 6am-11pm)as to not have to be at the pool at high traffic times. The rooms are spacious and clean! The tv remote is wrapped in a sealed bag when u arrive! The shower water was hot! Loved it! My only bad thing is that walls are pretty thin that u hear everyone’s door slam or the ppl talking loud in the hallway. Not a problem for me but maybe for others! All types of people stay here so yes sometimes there was a lingering weed smell, but that by no means brought down the value of this beautiful hotel! Will def be staying again and again!

COVID protocols were followed and we felt at ease with these in place. Courteous, helpful staff and attentive. We visit here yearly and are always pleased. The food is always good and prepared with safety in mind to even take back to your room, if desired. The hotel is convenient to several convenient shopping places where protocols were also followed well. Desk staff is helpful and anxious to make your stay pleasant. We found the room clean and when we asked for service to the room, employees wore masks and gloves for safety.

The property is well laid out with plenty of spaces to enjoy, especially the Zen Garden. The outlets within the hotel offer good variety and the service is impeccable. The corner room on a high floor offered a view of Downtown Atlanta, which was excellent and the location offered coffee shops, great restaurants and a supermarket within easy walking distance. Outstanding stay ! I'll be back !

Hotel is conveniently located. Safe and easy to find. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and comforatable. Valet parking is very expensive $42 per night or you have to park in a garage ocross the street which is still $32per night. Restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch with a limited dinner menu in a bar environment.

Used Priceline express deals to book this supposed 4.5 star hotel. UNIMPRESSED. The room was small and basic at best. ZERO frills. Baseboards coming off of the wall, towels in the bathroom were tattered, bed looked like it’s been here forever. We could hear every door open and close our side of our room and every time someone used water around us, we knew it. Check-in was quick and we were offered ‘snacks’ which were on the lobby’s desk and consisted of a jar of goldfish crackers and an empty jar of gummy worms that you reached in and scooped out. Not very sanitary at all! Self parking is $32 and across the street, not attached to the hotel at all. For the price I would have much preferred to stay at nearby InterContinental hotel or the Whitley. We visit and stay in Buckhead many, many times a year and were excited to stay somewhere new but very disappointed that our expectations were not even close to being met.

Stayed here one night for a conference. It is a short walk (<5 min) to the MARTA Buckhead station so easy access from airport. Nice area with lots of hotels and restaurants. The large Lenox shopping mall (has Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Macy's etc.) is also within walking distance, just turn left on Peachtree from the hotel, go past the MARTA and then cross the street. Check in staff were friendly and welcoming. The basic room was quite large, and the bathroom also has plenty of space, with shower tub combo, and a rubber mat to avoid slipping. My room faced the front of the hotel and it was very quiet/soundproofed. Everything appeared clean. There is a safe and 2 robes, coffee/tea in the room with a small fridge, hair dryer and magnifying mirror in the bathroom, and a large LG flat screen TV that worked well. The bath products were okay, not too perfumed which I appreciate. The gym was large and well equipped, with two recumbent bikes and one upright bike, treadmills, ellipticals, weights etc. My upright bike worked fine, unfortunately the TV offerings on it were very limited - only 6 or 7 channels. They did have apples, earphones, towels available. There were two vats of ice water, one with mint leaves and one with oranges; the one with the sliced oranges however got clogged because the orange slices settled to the bottom and blocked the output; a nice idea anyway. Also - outstanding evening reception food and breakfast, much better than most hotels I have stayed at. Shout out to housekeeping who kindly and promptly provided me a foam pillow on request. Also, all the servers and staff at the hotel were friendly and courteous. There is a tiny room serving as their "business center" in the lobby where you can print a boarding pass, the computer and printer worked fine. Overall this is an excellent hotel and I would gladly stay here again.

This is a wonderful hotel, exhibiting Hyatt’s standards to the fullest. We checked in at 1:45am and the process was seamless. The hotel offers a shuttle that takes you anywhere within a 2 mile radius. The service is very convenient and timely. The rooms are a nice size and are very accommodating. The marble bathroom is also very large. The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout the whole trip. In fact upon an early check out this morning, my husband let his laptop case and the front desk agents secured and tracked us down to call us to say that we left the case in the foyer, all within 5 minutes. The location of the hotel is also a great choice for persons who like to walk to places (shops and restaurants). A colleague stayed at a similar hotel about two blocks away and commented that our location was great as well as she had to take a shuttle back and forth because she was a bit farther from restaurants and stores.
