We were here for two nights. Staff is excellent. Breakfast was above average. They have hot breakfast. Room was clean. Location is close to I 285 which is very convenient. Close to all shopping and restaurants, which is a plus. There is plenty of parking.

We chose this hotel because of location. However a couple things we noticed were not accommodating, when we first arrived there wasn't anyone at the front desk we waited 15 min after a 10 hour drive to be assisted the service desk person said he was unclogging a toilet he was the maintenance guy for the night too, also there wasn't anywhere to put our cloths for the week. The new design took out the dresser drawers. All you have is 3 baskets for two guests to put away their clothes for the week and closet is now along the wall with a curtain to pull over with 7 Hangers to use others reviews said to "air out" your clothes. It's for clean clothes they don't need to be aired out. Also we had a very noisy Sunday night stay, maintenance was working up until I called front desk @11:00 pm. Hammering,Drilling and banging isn't acceptable at night hours. Other than that hotel clean breakfast was great.More

To start things off, this hotel did not have my room when I arrived. I asked how this could be since I had a reservation and a confirmation with my room details. I was told by the gentleman at the front desk there were "extenuating circumstances". I'm assuming thus means they sold my room to someone else.

I was offered a two queen bed room instead which I accepted because I had no choice as it was late and other nearby hotels were full. The gentleman behind the desk offered to get me a chair for my room so I could use the television stand for a desk since the room I reserved was supposed to have one. A nice thought but it doesn't make up for them selling my room to someone else.

Things continued to go downhill once I got to my room. I had to basically kick the door open because the locking mechanism did not fit the door frame well. You can see in the photograph that it was not mounted straight. However, the room appeared to be pretty clean so I thought this will be okay for just one night. As soon as I laid down on the first bed I found out that was wrong. The mattress was worn out and clearly in need of replacement. It did not support my weight (180 lbs) well at all as I just sank into a hole when I laid down. The springs were also noisy which is very annoying whenever moving around. Since I had two beds I tried the other one. Same thing. Therefore I write this review from bed #1 with a spring poking me in the back.

Finally, there's the noise. It is now 11:45 PM and I'm still listening to the news from two adjacent rooms. One individual is watching CNN and the other watching the local news WSBTV. I should not be able to hear that much of what is going on in other rooms. Also, I just unplugged the mini fridge because when the compressor kicks on it makes a very strange (& loud) crackling noise. Probably in need of replacement as well.

In conclusion, this hotel definitely did not meet my expectations and is not on par with other Hampton Inns I have visited. I will not stay here again. I come to this area frequently on business as my company's corporate office is here. I usually stay at the Doubletree hotel nearby but it had no availability this trip. Much better experiences there. If you're looking for a Hotel near LaVista road, I recommend the Doubletree hands down over the Hampton.

My overall experience at this location was poor. I do not have any issue with the staff or the service I received from the employees at that location. Instead I was very disappointed with the overall condition of the hotel.

There are many issues with this location and the overall condition is not up to the standards of Hilton properties in general and Hampton Inn properties in particular. Carpets in the hallways and common areas are stained and need replacing. The fabric on the seating in the lobby eating area is torn and needs replacing. On the 1st floor beside the elevators what seems to be an air duct is covered with a black trash bag and masking tape.

The HVAC system in our room didn't work properly and resulted in the room having a stale odor and making the room itself seem unclean. I turned on the vent in the room and left it running for 5-6 hours after checking in and leaving the property in hopes that the odor would dissipate by the time I returned and that didn't happen. Upon returning I tried to cool the room, even though it was quite cold outside, in hopes that would make the air at least seem a bit fresh and the unit kept shutting off automatically and the room didn't cool.

Little things like the door to our room didn't align with the door frame and it made a very loud noise each time it was opened, which was inconvenient when I woke up early while my wife was sleeping and I wanted to go down to the lobby.

This local franchisee is not maintaining the standards and significant improvements need to be made or the property needs to be sold off or rebranded as a steep discounted brand.

Charged a pet fee we were unaware of, no one was there to check us in, the janitor had to find someone and he didn’t want to check us in because he was “off the clock”. We were put by the back door and was constantly woken by people going in and out the door. The walls were so thin that we could hear our neighbor showering, talking on the phone and even brushing his teeth. We requested a late check out due to our dog being in surgery and were told no despite being Hampton club members, my husband actually went down to ask that morning and the same guy from the night before looked like he was sleeping. When we turned the key in he just waved my husband off. In addition, there really was no where to take our dog potty and ended up having to walk him across to a business complex.

We stayed on 7/25/2020 and it left a ton to be desired. We arrived at 5pm and the entire lobby was full of boxes, full trash bags, it was disgusting. We did the online check in and the front desk person didn't even greet us or acknowledge us in any way as we walked past the front desk with all of our luggage. The room was very small with 2 queen beds. No safe in room. The pool was closed due to covid which I would have been fine with if they had disclosed this when I booked. No where on Hilton's website did it mention the pool would be closed (read the whole thing about changes for covid). The breakfast was changed to a bag breakfast which was horrible. We had four bags 3 had oranges (2 were VERY moldy) and one apple (completely bruised and unedible), a small muffin, nutrigrain bar and a yogurt by request. Don't plan to stay at these hotels and enjoy a breakfast like in the past. I know the times are changing due to covid but this was not an enjoyable stay at all would definitely try somewhere else. The doors also slam shut and there were people coming and going in the room across the hall all hours of the night, woke us up multiple times through the night last time was 1am.

I had hair on my linen twice and when I complained Sandra Montsalve, the guest services and sale manager suggested that I check out. I requested that the room will be cleaned in the morning, when I came at 4PM it was still not cleaned and I did not get a clean blancket. After complaining they cleaned the room and brought a blancket full of human hair. Their excuse was that the dryer does not clean it....

Stay Report - 5/24 to 5/25

Location: The hotel is located off I-285 at Northlake Parkway (Exit 36) across from the derelict Northlake Mall.  Nearby are a few fast food restaurants and some local places as well.  The area is a little on the sketchy side but I didn't feel unsafe.

Hotel: The hotel has been renovated from the outside but still feels like an older generation Hampton Inn inside.  There's a breakfast area, small pantry, a business center (where neither computer worked), an outdoor pool and small indoor fitness center.  The parking lot is big enough but construction has blocked a bunch of the spots.

Check In: The agent checking me in was friendly and thanked me for being Diamond though I was not offered points or a welcome amenity

Room: Pretty bad.  It's been somewhat renovated to be like the new design Hampton rooms but done on the cheap.  The room smelled musty, there was still a window air conditioner, the furniture was stained and scuffed and my sink didn't drain.  It's way below the usual standards for a Hampton

Breakfast: The hot options were scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy along with pastries (most of them still wrapped), cereal, fruit and yogurt.

I'm rarely this disappointed by a Hampton Inn but this is just a bad property.  I wish I'd stayed at the nearby Doubletree instead.

There where issues with this place the moment I walked through the door. I first entered to see them dealing with customers checking out behind issues with the room presentations. When coming to check in I was taken aback that they were trying to have us pay for the room prior to even a single night's stay don't think I've experienced that before. The temperatures in the building are very inconsistent with colder air by the door, and moderate through hallways with a very hot and muggy area by the elevators, they worked fine so that's a plus but they don't operate completely similar. There where stains in the hallway floors leading to the rooms and the room presentation was not good enough to justify the stay pricing. The doors where not sized right with tight tolerances and the walls were not all the way cleaned (near bottom/ base boards) and scuffed up in multiple areas. Cracks on the ceilings and food and things dropped from previous people's stay was found around the perimeter of the bed. The rooms where too small and and no proper closet space was a bit unique and something I do not want to get use too... The nature of the visit and the kind staff made it manageable.. fortunately on my floor (4) no pest were found otherwise that would have been the last straw.

All staff wore masks when we were there 3 days ago The hotel has a mask-wearing requirement, which is displayed on the front door, as you enter ... if you check in and happen to find any not wearing a mask, you can demand they put it on

They serve fruit or atleast they did while I stayed and a variety of breakfast items but you would need to speak to the hotel directly to find out what they serve now.
