This campground was clean and quiet. Short walk to free showers, camp store and the Knife Edge Café. Pancake breakfast at the Knife Edge Café was really good. Lunch and dinner items were pretty good too.
Private tent camping locations within Mesa Verde. Fair rates providing showers, restrooms, laundry, grocery store, fuel and restaurant...everything you need. Location is the closest camping to sites. Nightly ranger presentation in nearby outdoor theater.

There are only one or two dwellings that you can actually access via guided tours. We didn't do any while we were there, only observed them from different view points, but from what I could see, it wasn't a terribly difficult hike to/from them. He might be limited in how much exploration he would be able to do within the dwellings themselves if ladders are difficult for them. The guides and park rangers are very helpful here.
