Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great rooms with high ceilings and stylishly decorated. A trendy place to feel at home with lot's of special details. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast in the morning is being served in the restaurant and offers a great variety. The location is right in the center of town, private parking is available.

Absolutely loved the hotel and our stay. It is a very special place with wonderfully creative decoration and features very much to our taste.

Friendly people everywhere, front of house, reception, owners, cleaning lady - everybody made us and our dog feel very welcome.

Oh, and thanks for arranging the birthday treat, much appreciated.

On our next stay we will eat at the hotel as well.

Our second visit to this hotel ( last stay 2008 !) It is still quite wonderful and made by the attention the staff give to ensuring that guests have everything they want.
The staff arranged for our evening restaurant reservations and each one a winner. The hotel restaurant was closed as it was very off season but they came up trumps with their selection of local restaurants. (all within a short walk)
They also arranged for electric bike hire which was a first for us .
Just a lovely place to stay in Begur and the Costa Brava . We will not leave it so long before our next stay.
Special thanks to Sue for everything.

The hotel is absolutely lovely. Each room has a different design and the hotel is so unique. The owners and staff are amazing and are the nicest people around. You can tell these are people who really care. Can't wait to come back in the summer.

Central location close to all the 'activity' in Begur, hotel has a cosy 'family feel', friendly & helpful staff from reception to housekeeping to Owner, clean and comfortable throughout, good breakfast, reasonable pricing/better value than most hotels in the area. Hotel parking cramped and overpriced at 15 euro per day, but plenty of cheaper options within a 10 minute walk. Glad we picked Aiguaclara and would stay again if we return to Begur

Only 10 rooms in an amazing villa. Each room is different, but all have high ceilings and very specially decorated. Breakfast buffet has all you need and you can order extras as well. Secured parking (extra EUR10,-) is convenient. Hotel is situated in town centre, nice charming village.

I came across this Hotel by chance and what a find. We had a suite with a wonderful balcony at the front of the hotel. Although the weather was not good this was more than made up for by the quality of the establishment and its staff. In our room we were spoilt by a super king bed and large bathroom and small separate sitting area. The tiled floors throughout are beautiful. t's a small hotel I think there are only 10 rooms so its intimate and special. There is a bar but they also run an honesty 'box' for obtaining drinks. The breakfast was superb you could even have bacon and eggs if so inclined, but the continental was sufficient. The staff were more than helpful even booking us a meal at a local restaurant as theirs will be re-opening shortly. This was a great find, we will be back !

This is a stunning hotel from the outside and really quirky inside. We actually stayed in the studio apartment next to the hotel which was spacious, fully equipped and with a lively terrace which was excellent for dining. Really comfy beds and air conditioned which is a must in summer. My only complaint is that the 2 bedroom studio has only one toilet and bathroom and the only access is through the bedroom. This is really not ideal for two couples. The hotel breakfast was excellent and the staff were so very helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant which was lovely but I did not feel it merited the accolade of best restaurant in Begur. I would stay here again although I think it was a little pricey.

What a fabulous hotel! We were made to feel so welcome in this wonderfully quirky hotel. We made a mistake with our booking and wanted to stay for three nights intend of the two that I had booked. This wasn’t a problem - we just needed to change rooms. The staff made this very easy for us and both rooms were very comfortable and very individual.

Breakfast was excellent with a huge choice and everything was fresh and delicious

Definitely looking forward to visiting again

This was our second stay at Aiguaclara Hotel and we stayed in the apartment for 3 nights. The apartment was great, very well appointed, with great decor and a small 'honesty' mini bar. It had privacy and space with the benefits of the hotel services. Note: the apartment is two bedroom however there are curtains and not doors on the bedrooms, so this may not suit all families or friends sharing.

Hello, is there someplace in or near the hotel to do laundry? Thank you
Answer from GreatBrain
Denver, Colorado39 contributions30 helpful votes
There are laundromats at the many commercial camping sites on the Costa Brava. Camping Begur has facilities. We walked all over Begur and never saw a laundromat. It's too small a town. One day we went to PALAFRUGELL and dropped everything at Tintoreria Niell, Carrer Barris i Buixo, 46. They did at excellent job. Maybe 25 euros for three loads. Left at 11, returned at 6. BUGADERÍA AUTOSERVEI is the Catalan for self service laundromat. Many places advertise only in Catalan. Looks like there is a BUGADERÍA AUTOSERVEI in Girona, named "Fresh," which is a small chain.
